REALITY CHECK There isn't as much pre-planning for a Disney Cruise vacation as there is for a theme park trip, but there are still many things to know. For instance, let's talk pool slides. Here are three things to know before you go:
Each pool slide has specific height and safety requirements-measure your kids ahead of time to avoid disappointment
The least crowded times to enjoy the slides are as soon as you board on embarkation day, early mornings and late afternoons (right before the first dinner seating). Also, right before they close at night.
Some slides have enclosed sections and others are fully enclosed. If enclosed spaces are worrisome, it may be best to avoid the AquaDuck, AquaDunk and AquaMouse
The Aquaduck was hands down my 13yo and 9yo's favorite activity on the ship, they mastered the best times to ride and rode it over and over!

Universal's Aventura Hotel!! One of my teammates stayed at Aventura this week and Relay the Robot delivered K-Cups to their room!

Next stop on our Walt Disney World Resort tour was the Polynesian Resort.
The Polynesian Resort is located near the Magic Kingdom and has access to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, The Contemporary Resort, and The Grand Floridian Resort by monorail. Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are a bus ride away.
The Poly rooms have recently been renovated with a Moana theme. You can also find luxurious over-water bungalows at the Polynesian!
Did you know there are only balconies outside rooms on the third floor and higher so guests are protected from the Menehune?! The Menehune are a part of Hawaiian folklore. According to Hawaiian legends the Menehune are a group of little people who live in the mountains and forests of Hawaii. They were mischievous, but also extraordinary craftsmen.

My review of MagicBand+
MagicBand+ was released while I was at Walt Disney World, so I picked one up to try it out for my clients.
MagicBand+ does all the things a regular MagicBand does - enter Disney Parks, enter Lightening Lanes, unlock Disney resorts, easily make purchases and apply to your card on file. But, also has some added features - Find the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection sculptures throughout Walt Disney World Resort and experience the magic, watch your MagicBand+ come alive when watching Nighttime Spectaculars, and become a bounty hunter in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge!
✨My Review✨
If you are visiting Walt Disney World for more than a day, a regular MagicBand is definitely worth it! MagicBand+ is neat, but I don't think everyone in your party has to purchase one. They are priced higher and if your family has one or two of them everyone will get to enjoy the added features of the bands. The MagicBand+ has to be charged for the added features, if it loses charge you can still use it as a regular MagicBand. Both types of bands can be used for multiple trips and MagicBand+ is coming to Disneyland!

There are a couple of options to experience it - Virtual Queue or purchase an Individual Lightening Lane
Virtual Queue - Beginning at 7 a.m. on the day of your park reservation, you will be able to check for an available boarding group via the My Disney Experience app* and request access to the virtual queue.
At 1 p.m., there will be another opportunity to join the virtual queue for anyone who wasn’t able to join a boarding group earlier in the day. Keep in mind, you must be inside EPCOT to access this second virtual queue opportunity.
Registered guests staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort or other select hotels will have an additional opportunity to request to join the virtual queue at 6 p.m. on select dates during extended evening theme park hours.
OR purchase individual Lightning Lane entry
in the My Disney Experience app* via the Disney Genie service on the same day of your visit, subject to availability.
