A water main break on RVC Main Campus (Mulford Road) has led to the closure of WTC and SSC buildings on Thursday, February 13 while crews work to fix the issue. One of the best Nate Talan!

Rock Valley College is celebrating 60 YEARS! As part of that celebration, we're highlighting 60 individuals who went from graduate to employee.

Spotlight #26: Nathan Talan, Media Lab Technician, graduated from RVC in 2017. When asked, “Do you remember a mentor/professor who made a lasting impact on you?” Nathan shared:

“Jerry LaBuy. I will always be grateful for Jerry for creating an environment where I could grow in video production/film making and meet some lifelong friends in the process. The Mass Com department is the highlight of my RVC experience.”

FYI!!

It's camera week in the intro classes at ! The new production students have been roaming the halls of the ERC building practicing framing, focus, exposure, and all things related to camera imagery.

So, now that we've announced Starlight auditions (see previous post), it really feels like the season is under way. The next step is to shore up the trenches. Are you looking for some awesome work, and are you ready to help bring the magic of live theatre to life? Starlight Theatre is looking for passionate, skilled seasonal workers to join our team! We’re hiring set builders, welders, painters, and costume technicians to help create the incredible shows in our 58th season.

Details:

$16/hr
Mid-February to early August
Up to 25 hours per week
Experience in at least one area is required, but you don’t need to be proficient in everything—we’ll teach you the rest!
