I do this every year on my cat Dakota’s page. Check it out!
Dakota’s Dad says: Friends, because Dakota's international following is so large and he gains many new followers from year to year, I feel the need to introduce in some detail what he and I have in store for you tomorrow.
In the United States there are two holidays each year whose purpose is to honor those who have served in all branches of our Armed Forces. One is Veterans' Day, which falls on November 11th. It honors all who have ever served in our military. The other is Memorial Day, which falls on the last Monday in May-this is tomorrow. It specifically honors those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and given their lives in defense of our country. In practice, on both holidays much honor and appreciation is shown to all veterans both those who have passed on and those who are still living, and those presently on active duty. As a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, these days are pretty important to me personally.
To help give this honor where it's due, this page will introduce you to five very special veterans, two Americans and three who served one of our allies, England. Wherever your national or political allegiances lie, I invite you to ponder and celebrate their faithful service to their countries, which was substantive and impactful, on a day set aside for that purpose. Just for a day, no humor, no cuteness, and no attempt to lighten the mood. Only honor.
Good night, Friends
