[5:11 AM Tuesday]- The precipitation type this morning depends on where you are. Some of us are getting straight rain (or have already gotten it around and south of Highway 29). Meanwhile, some of us are getting a wintry mix of freezing rain and/or snow (around and north of Highway 64).

Most of our precipitation on Tuesday will wrap up early, but lake-effect snow is anticipated later in the day Tuesday through Wednesday morning. This snow will mainly stay north of Highway 8.

[8:59 AM Friday]- Rain and snow from this morning have wrapped up. We ended up underperforming on snow as it took longer to cool off for snow to accumulate up north than originally anticipated. We did, however, get well over an inch of rain in communities further southeast.

We do have more snow in the forecast this weekend. Just like the snow from Thursday night into Friday morning, our highest totals are most likely to come from northeast Wisconsin.

[5:36 AM Friday]- We're getting towards the tail end of this as precipitation (both rain and snow) are winding down locally and moving closer to Green Bay.

Roads are slippery in the Northwoods due to snow, and a Flood Watch does remain active in a few counties in the Fox Valley due to the combination of moderate to heavy rain and melting snow from the last few days.

[1/8/2026] Rain will slowly change over to snow tonight into early Friday morning. The best chance for moderate snow will mainly be in the Rhinelander area and northeast of Rhinelander. The snow will be snowball making kind of snow, because temps will be in the low 30s.
