I was lucky to be part of a film shoot this last weekend. Our crew was patient and amazing. Our Director/Writer was very willing to hear my ideas about how to do the shots and I feel that we really got some quality shots. I am looking forward to what is next. I enjoy working with independent filmmaker and love the new ideas that we can shoot to share with the world.

We had a great final shoot yesterday for the film that I have DP’ed for, Into The Spotlight. We had a 14 hour shoot to finish up the film and those last few hours were rough but got it done!

I was shooting a car show yesterday and came across this beauty. I have been doing a lot more photography lately, especially with shooting cars so expect a new Instagram just for those shots. The Porsche 358 is one of my favorite classics.

Great shoot today. I do love working in tight situations where we have enough space for two lights, dealing with the sun light’s inconsistency and tough camera angles. The crew did an amazing job!

This is how my day started. I needed a walk this morning by the water to clear my head, didn’t really work but I did inspire myself to get home and do some editing! I have a shoot tomorrow with a new creator which I am looking forward to working with!

Crimson Dawn Media had a very busy weekend with two very different shoots. The first was a live stream of the upper-class commencement for The Harley School, and the second was an independent short film in which we were the DP. We gained much experience on both shoots this weekend, especially while shooting the film. This was the first time that I did not have to wear all of the hats, and I could just concentrate on the shot.

We have had a pretty good day today. Crimson Dawn Media is now a vendor for a video production company out of Long Island. We also started our first collaboration project with .media, hence the photo!! More good things coming soon.

We had our first Bar/Bat Mitzvah of the season last weekend, which was good.

We experimented with equipment, using the BlackMagic Pocket Cinema 4K as the primary camera, the Canon R as the Gimbal handheld, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max as a very portable handheld.

It will be interesting to see how all three camera files work together in the final video!

We had a little accident with the DJI Mavic Mini this weekend where the drones autopilot kicked in and it climbed altitude right into a tree. Only damage was to one propeller so time to add a new and then get out flying again.
