✨Wedding Wednesday: The Brookins Wedding✨

Harvey Brookins first caught a glimpse of Martina Fudge on social media and was instantly intrigued by her smile. “She was presenting a check to the Kiwanis Club of Roanoke, and I thought to myself, “Who is that?!?!” Two years after they friended each other, he worked up the courage to private message her. They were quick to bond over their spirituality and family-oriented natures and were shocked to learn they had many mutual friends and had at one time been working for the same company in the same line of business but somehow never crossed paths.

Martina traded out her ceremony dress for a glitzy silver number during the reception, and Harvey surprised his best guys with custom matching flasks. Members of the wedding party arrived at Vinton War Memorial and kicked off the reception with grand entrances before the happy couple stole the show with one of their own. Everyone enjoyed a casual, buffet-style dinner of southern-inspired favorites like fried chicken, cornbread and mac and cheese before the newlyweds cut into their beautiful two-tiered cake. The best of memories were made as they spent the rest of the night mingling and partying it up on the dance floor with their fun-loving family and friends.

🖤Wedding Wednesday: The Mahoney Wedding🖤

Meredith Puryear and Ryanne Mahoney first got to know one another online. Three days later, Meredith walked into the restaurant Ryanne was working at to meet her. They went on their first official date soon after at a local Mexican restaurant. They've rarely been apart since!

The brides leaned into the unconventional with their spooky theme and black color palette with pops of red and white. They created a playlist of upbeat tunes and romantic tear-jerkers, and Meredith made Ryanne's boutonniere and her own bouquet, which later decorated the table (along with a handmade sign, two framed skulls, a white candle with black drip and a spider web tablecloth) holding tasty chicken tenders and fries gifted by Ryanne's work and donut towers. A few airplane details were also incorporated, an extra special sentiment inspired by the pair's first date. Meredith thought it was so charming when Ryanne, buzzing with nervous energy, had folded the check into a paper airplane. Their home is now full of them, all picked up from the dates they’ve gone on together over the years.

🌿Wedding Wednesday: The Foschini Wedding🌿

Skylar Sheffer first met Christian Foschini in middle school; they had a special connection even then!

A light and natural color palette of earthy sage greens, browns and neutral tones was accented with gold, seamlessly matching the couple's outdoor ceremony setting. So did the simple n**e cake featuring a wooden "F" topper, symbolizing their newly shared last name. They adored the stunning centerpieces, later using their crafting skills to repurpose elements of them as decor in their home.

💜Wedding Wednesday: The Fabrie Wedding💜

Veronica Tuttle and William Fabrie first met in Salem in 2011. They were both working at Mac and Bob's where she was a hostess and waitress and he was a food runner.

William and Veronica's lowkey celebration was perfect. They were married in an intimate ceremony and had delicious chocolate favors made for the small group of friends and family in attendance. The couple and their loved ones DIYed many of the other details. Will's mom helped with planning, Veronica took care of her own hair and makeup, along with ordering flowers online and putting her bouquet together, and the centerpieces were handmade to match their colors of lavender and gold. Her father made the food which included pulled chicken, pork and a mix of sides, and a friend from the pair's church did an amazing job serving as DJ. “We wanted to keep it intimate and personal while also being budget friendly.”

🍕Wedding Wednesday: The Hurley Wedding🍕

Sophie Trosclair and Benjamin Hurley first met in Morgantown, West Virginia, where they worked alongside each other at the same local pizza restaurant. The rest is history!

Sophie and Ben wanted everything about their wedding to be bright and happy. Their plates were the perfect complement to the stunning centerpieces and bouquets that turned out exactly how Sophie had pictured — like she and her bridesmaids had picked them as they walked through a field of wildflowers. Her best girls selected their own dresses, each in a different, cheerful color. “I think people thought that having that many colors would look bad but it actually all fell together perfectly,” she says. “More perfectly than I could imagine!”
