This absolutely horrific. Prayers to all those involved, their families & the aviation community.

No survivors are expected after a passenger jet and an Army helicopter crashed following a midair collision near D.C.'s Reagan National Airport, D.C.'s Fire and EMS Chief said.

Crews are switching to a recovery operation.

Twenty-eight bodies have been recovered, including 27 from the plane and one from the Black Hawk helicopter, the official added said.
