Designed to replace the trio of aging Centaur-class hospital ships in Royal Navy service, the Milligan-class was successfully exported even before the new ship design had been accepted and entered service, eventually serving in several of the larger national navies, system navies, and defense forces across both Earth and Clement Sector.

The traditional role of a hospital ship is to provide medical care in times of armed conflict for the naval squadron’s personnel and marines it is attached to. But apart from this primary role, hospital ships such as the Milligan-class have a wide variety of secondary roles, often tasked to provide emergency response support where needed. They are in reality fully equipped mobile hospitals that are able to bring medical care directly to the location most needed.

Being armed only with sandcaster turrets and a point defense node array the Milligan-class relies on her ship’s identification beacon to announce her non-combatant, humanitarian role within naval service.

Welcome to Clement Sector!

In 2210, scientists discovered a wormhole allowing travel to the opposite side of the Milky Way galaxy. Once across, exploration teams discovered worlds far more suited to human habitation than those in star systems nearer to Earth. Were they terraformed by some unknown race? Are they just a coincidence in the vast diversity of the universe?

Over the ensuing years humans left Earth and began to colonize these worlds. Nation-backed colonies. Corporate colonies. People who simply no longer felt compelled to remain on Earth. The best and brightest.

In 2331, the unthinkable happened. The wormhole collapsed leaving those in Clement Sector cut off from Earth. Now these new worlds and new civilizations must stand on their own.

Clement Sector Third Edition is the ultimate version of one of the fastest growing space opera games out there. Climb aboard!

A new offering from The Anderson & Felix Shipbuilders Company, the Contessa is a 600-tonne merchant vessel designed to compete with Boone's Thorpe-class vessels. Designed with shipping companies on the frontier in mind, the vessel is fast and has an array of defensive armament to hold off attacks from jealous rivals or dastardly pirates. The Contessa offers the new power plant fuel cells as standard allowing internal space for larger maneuver drives and increase profitability for ships operating on the frontier.

Not wasting an opportunity, Anderson and Felix immediately offered two Contessa-class variants to the Hub Federation Navy. Designed for entirely different roles, the Provision-class light replenishment ship was proposed for use by the navy as a logistics ship to accompany a patrol corvette or sloop squadron rather than a larger replenishment ship such as the Boyne-class and remained essentially unchanged compared to the Contessa. The Einsatz-class forward deployment ship, however, was modified internally to carry and deploy two platoons of Hub Federation Marine Commando or mechanized infantry, their support team (armorers, drivers, and maintenance), equipment and their vehicles for covert missions.

Is this where you meet your fate?

Ashima Subsector is named for a Semitic goddess of fate and, like all the subsectors in Earth Sector, the names were given long before anyone went into these areas much less settled them. However, here, the name has been rather appropriate.

Originally, most thought that the Argentinians would end up dominating this subsector, but that was not to be. Others thought the United States might move aggressively into the
subsector, but that never happened. Some thought Nigeria would do the same as would Australia but, in the end, nine of the systems of Ashima Subsector would remain independent. Argentina, the United States, Australia, and Nigeria each hold only one system while Israel, a late arrival to interstellar colonization, holds four.

Ashima Subsector is a mix of colonies held by nation-states and independent worlds. Often used as a gateway into the Sacrament Sector frontier, many still come to the subsector for opportunity.

Filled with system maps, world maps, and physical data for each world, this book is a treasure trove of information for Referees who want to take their Earth Sector adventures further afield or for those who simply want a variety of worlds for their uses. Government, legal, cultural, and population details will assist the Referee in painting a picture of each world for their players.
