One of the reasons I started The Fedora Chronicles is not just to explore the unknown, but to celebrate and embrace it. No matter how scary or strange.

It can’t be understated. This is by far one of the strangest science news item of the past couple of decades. Comets don’t behave like this, this is behavior. We have never seen before in the history of astronomical observations. if this does usher in a “new field of physics“ we should reconsider our understanding or beliefs about where this object comes from.

Next step: Look for a hidden passage or the place to put an ancient artifact at a specific spot for a light show that will reveal the next clue.

“Ancient Altar Hidden for 500 Years Found Deep in a Cave in Mexico Reveals Lost Civilization - Deep inside a mountain cave in Guerrero, Mexico, researchers uncovered an ancient altar untouched for centuries, hinting at long-lost traditions.”

“As I’m , I did not illustrate the poster for and the Dial of Destiny. - I’ve had my last crusade and the adventure of a lifetime keeping up with Indy …and loved every minute of it. Looking forward to seeing the man with the hat back in action this summer!” Drew Struzan.

“THAT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!” for Monday, October 13th, 2025… imagine going about your business trying to just get by and you accidentally find a treasure like this…

Who buried this hoard there… what is that story?

“Massive medieval silver hoard of up to 20,000 coins and jewelry unearthed near Stockholm - A man hunting for fishing worms near his summer house in the Stockholm area has made an amazing discovery: a large hoard of silver coins and jewelry from the early Middle Ages. The hoard, weighing around six kilograms (13 pounds), consists of thousands of silver coins mixed with rings, pendants, and beads.”

Willie Scott: “You could’ve kept it.”
Indiana Jones: “What for? They’d just put it in a museum. It’d be another rock collecting dust”.

But this shield? Really?

“A Gold Disc Found in the Caucasus Is a Lunar Calendar That Changes What We Knew About Astral Cults in the Bronze Age - A unique object, forgotten for decades in a museum storage, is reexamined and reveals possible representations of lunar cycles, culturally connecting the South Caucasus with prehistoric Europe.”

It belongs in a museum… but not hidden away for decades!

I’ve written about this a handful of times: we’re past due for a revolution of space exploration. We should have been finding ways to mine the moon, comets, and asteroids for new resources and apply space technology to more aspects of our everyday lives here on Earth.

“World Space Week 2025 explores what it means to live beyond Earth - “Living in Space” isn’t just about designing spacecraft or stations — it’s about solving the complex challenges that come with turning space into a home.”

We're past due…

Archaeology Sunday - X Marks The Spot!

“The Largest Libraries of the Ancient World From East to West. Clay tablets, papyrus scrolls and organized archives gave rise to the largest libraries the ancient world had ever seen. From Mesopotamia to the Mediterranean, early civilizations built and guarded repositories that preserved knowledge, solidified power and shaped future generations.”

“These libraries were more than buildings. They were strategic tools for governance, scholarship, and cultural influence.”

The fedora is a symbol for idealism and individuality of a bygone era none of us are ready to let go yet…

“I Just Watched All The Indiana Jones Films For The First Time. Here’s What I Thought. I watched all of the Indiana Jones movies for the first time. Here are my thoughts and reviews for each one.

“One detail that I loved from all of the movies was the spotlight moment for Indy’s hat. Whether he was reaching for his hat in a time of danger, or it simply rolled back to him, this recurring element brought both suspense and humor to the movies. That’s why I thought it was perfect how Dial of Destiny concluded with a shot of Indy’s hand grabbing his famous hat. There’s no better way to close the film franchise.”

My last as a full-time FedEx employee.

I absolutely loved this job from day one, so much so that I actually thought I would stay here until I Retire. The crew was a great group of hard working people and a pretty wild cast of characters.

As for the work itself:

Part of my route was this perfect little rural town that I hardly heard of but I learned every road and driveway after two weeks. The second part was sections these idealistic towns called Turners Falls and Millers Falls along the Connecticut River. I met a lot of great people while finding unique places to that only the locals know about.

While driving these roads I worked out a lot of angst and pain from the changes I passed through this year. It sounds cliche to say I really grew as a person here… but it is what it is. It was what it was.

What About The Fedora Chronicles?

Back in 2004, Eric Fisk came up with an idea of doing a webpage where he could do everything he was forbidden from doing on all the other websites where he participated and contributed. It’s now a clearinghouse for The Metaphysical Connection, The Fedora Chronicles Radio Show, reviews, and commentary on modern life of daily fedora wearers through the eyes of an amateur historian and a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor.
