The Fedora Chronicles Strange Science: Looking for volunteers to investigate this phenomenon. Perhaps a follow-up to “Operation High Jump.”

“Strange radio pulses detected coming from ice in Antarctica - The unusual radio pulses were detected by the Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna (ANITA) experiment, a range of instruments flown on balloons high above Antarctica that are designed to detect radio waves from cosmic rays hitting the atmosphere.”

I don't ever tire of WW2 stories, except for maybe this. We do need to be reminded of the horrors of nuclear weapons and why they shouldn't be used.

- James Cameron Expects ‘Ghosts of Hiroshima’ to Be His Lowest Grossing Film Ever - Cameron is determined to recreate the WWII bombing of Japan with as much accuracy as possible. He added that the film will be “utterly apolitical” and include the testimonies of the families of Japanese survivors that were interviewed for the book. -

- “This may be a movie that I make that makes the least of any movie I’ve ever made, because I’m not going to be sparing, I’m not going to be circumspect,” Cameron said. “I want to do for what happened at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, what Steven Spielberg did with the Holocaust and D-Day with ‘Saving Private Ryan.'” -

James Cameron explained why he expects 'Ghosts of Hiroshima' to be his lowest grossing film ever.

I can't help but wonder what is hidden in some secret chamber…

“Archaeologists Found a Lost Temple From a Civilization That Vanished 1,000 Years Ago - The Tiwanaku civilization was one of the first and most powerful in the Andes region, but by 1000 A.D., it had collapsed.”

“The international team of researchers scoured the Andes and found a temple complex roughly 130 miles south of Tiwanaku’s established historical site on the top of a hill. In a study published in Antiquity, the team wrote that the temple discovery could provide new details about the civilization, which was one of the first in the Andes and a powerful precursor to the Inca empire—until, that is, it mysteriously vanished about a thousand years ago.”

The Tiwanaku civilization was one of the first and most powerful in the Andes region, but by 1000 A.D., it had collapsed.

Memorial Day is the time when we look back and remember the sacrifices many men sacrificed their lives for a united cause.its these men and their mindset we choose to emulate. My intention of The Fedora Chronicles is to celebrate these men and encourage newer generations to do the same.

“Wokeness” has made this harder since there is always someone who wants to erase their ecompishments. No kidding, there were ddark aspects to our heroes, thanks…

We have reached “Peak Woke” and it continues to claim victims. Most notably “Doctor Who” and what Nerdrotic calls “The M-She-U.” The problem has been throughout all of this woke drama is that they’ve been acting like fascists while using fascist tactics and call out everyone who doesn’t agree with them fascists. That’s just a start. You don’t insult the people who you want to change for the better.

They’ve also been busy, criticizing, their core audience, specifically straight Caucasian males. And blaming men like myself for atrocities that I’ve been committed throughout All history is cruel and unfair and when media does it, what do you expect it’s going to happen?

Content creators and publishers are finally waking up to the fact that they cannot bite the hand that feeds them. You can’t claim to be anti-racist, committing racist like behavior towards a segment of the population and still expect to remain afloat and profitable.

Insult your core audience, audience evaporates, and now outfits like the BBC are playing the victim card? OK.

You can be socially conscious, aware of the plight of others,, and demand progressive change, just stop being a dick about it.

So if this incarceration of Doctor Who is canceled, good riddance.

Happy Memorial Day

"EMPIRE at Forty-Five."

Thanks to life and work, I'm a little late to the "EMPIRE" celebrations. But I'll say this... while "Andor" made the other Star Wars films better, "Andor" wouldn't even exist were it not for the box office success and grit of "The Empire Strikes Back."

A face only a mummy could love…

“A 2,000-Year-Old Sarcophagus Was Just Unsealed—and the Mummy Inside is Mind-Blowing -The remarkable preservation reveals intricate details about ancient burial customs. The team of archaeologists, led by Simona Formola, investigating the Tomb of Cerberus in the northwest Naples city of Giugliano discovered a person laying face-up in what they considered an “excellent state of preservation,” according to a translated statement from the Superintendent of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Naples Metropolitan Area. The individual was covered by a shroud and surrounded by a litany of goods that included several ointment jars and body-cleaning tools often used in the burial process.”

MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU ... With everything going on right now, I haven’t had much to post lately that’s positive. I’ve been going through a really difficult time for the past couple of weeks, which I’m sure I’m going to write about in the not-too-distant future.

There’s a great little place in new Ipswich that’s called sourdough pizza and the entire place is a blast into the past. Specifically the 1980s.

If George, Lucas’s movies taught us anything - from THX 1138, American Graffiti, the original Star Wars and the Empire Strikes Back, and of course, Raiders of the Lost Ark and the other Indiana Jones movies - sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone to discover who and what you really are.

And then there are other times we don’t leave our comfort zone: we get pushed!

just keep your chin up in your Fedora on.

“Archaeologists May Have Found The Forgotten Capital Of A Lost Civilization - Several big characters from ancient history may have crossed paths with this city.”

“Now, a team of researchers from North Macedonia’s Institute & Museum–Bitola and California State Polytechnic University-Humboldt has returned to the scene for a new dig, armed with the latest archaeological technology. Their work is revealing that the settlement is much larger, much older, and much more important than previously suggested.”

“It appears it was a sprawling city at least 2.8 hectares (7 acres) in area, with several significant structures like a possible Macedonian-style theater and a textile workshop.”

“In a remarkable archaeological discovery, an Egyptian team has unveiled the tomb of Prince Waser-If-Re, son of Pharaoh Userkaf, the founder of Egypt’s Fifth Dynasty, at the Saqqara necropolis, located south of Cairo. This significant find offers an extraordinary insight into the royal life and burial practices of ancient Egypt, dating back approximately 4,500 years.”

“The excavation, led by renowned Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass in collaboration with the Supreme Council of Antiquities and the Zahi Hawass Foundation for Archaeology and Heritage, revealed that the tomb, originally constructed during the Old Kingdom, was later repurposed during Egypt’s 26th Dynasty. This dual usage highlights the tomb’s historical significance and the evolving practices surrounding royal burials.”

•••“Archaeologists Discovered Hidden Messages in the Likely Room of Jesus’s Last Supper - The stunning ancient symbols shed light on a forgotten chapter in religious history.”

The Room of the Last Supper, also known as the Cenacle, is located on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. The hall was built by the Crusaders in the 12th century, though pilgrims have venerated the site as early as the 4th century.

The recent discovery was announced by the Austrian Academy of Science (OeAW) on April 16, with the help of the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA). Archaeologists identified some 40 elements of graffiti, including five coats of arms.

Most of the inscriptions date back to the late Middle Ages.

Researchers found that the site attracted numerous international tourists – and several pilgrims left messages in their native language.

One interesting depiction of the Last Supper was found above a German coat of arms, which depicted a goblet, a platter, and a round piece of bread with a hole in it, similar to a Jerusalem bagel.

Researchers also found an Armenian inscription reading "Christmas 1300," as well as an Arabic inscription reading "ya al-Ḥalabīya."

"Based on the double use of the feminine suffix ‘ya’, the researchers concluded that this is a graffito of a female Christian pilgrim from the Syrian city of Aleppo, making it a rare material trace of pre-modern female pilgrimage," the statement noted.

In the press release, historian Ilya Berkovich said the graffiti was surprisingly diverse, with multiple countries being represented on the walls of the hall.•••

What About The Fedora Chronicles?

Back in 2004, Eric Fisk came up with an idea of doing a webpage where he could do everything he was forbidden from doing on all the other websites where he participated and contributed. It’s now a clearinghouse for The Metaphysical Connection, The Fedora Chronicles Radio Show, reviews, and commentary on modern life of daily fedora wearers through the eyes of an amateur historian and a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor.
