We are thrilled to introduce you to Victoria Martino, President & CEO of Nation Voice Foundation!
Q: What inspired you to start Nation Voice Foundation?
A: Nation Voice Foundation was inspired by my personal journey in public service and my experiences working in education and humanitarian efforts. After years of working in public service, I saw firsthand the challenges faced by underserved communities, especially in regions like Rwanda where I traveled to support educational and economic initiatives. These experiences highlighted the urgent need for sustainable solutions to poverty, lack of access to education, and basic resources. The foundation was founded to create lasting change by empowering these communities through education, food security, and economic opportunities.
Q: What are your main goals for the foundation?
A: Our foundation is driven by the desire to improve the world through sustainable solutions. Our primary goals include enhancing the quality of education, reducing poverty, and supporting women and families in underserved communities. Specifically, we aim to create opportunities for students in the United States to actively engage in our projects. By involving students, we provide them with valuable experiences that foster leadership, community service, and social impact. Through these initiatives, we empower the next generation to make a meaningful difference in underserved communities.
Q: How can people support your work?
A: People can support our work through donations, volunteering, and participating in our events. One of our key initiatives is the educational series "The Anatomy of Genocide and Survivors", a program designed by Nation Voice Foundation featuring our esteemed Ambassador for Rwanda, Evelyne Mukasonga, who is also a genocide survivor, and author of her memoir From Death to Life Through Forgiveness This powerful initiative is tailored for colleges and higher institutions to raise awareness about genocide and forgiveness. Our goal is to support United States students by offering them the opportunity to engage with real-world experiences and meaningful learning.
So, if you're a professor or academic institution looking to bring this program to your college or university, contact us directly at [email protected]. Additionally, if you’re a student interested in participating in one of our events or international projects, visit our website at https://nationvoice.org/ to apply for volunteer opportunities.
Nation Voice Foundation is located at 680 E Main Street, Ste A in Stamford.
