Dear The USA 🇺🇸 I simply cannot keep away. I’m back in April supporting the one and only on all her April Wheel Anniversary dates. To say I’m excited to see her, both as a human and a performing artist, is an understatement. Tickets at the link in her bio!
The pals and are hitting the road starting this Wednesday in Boston! If you can make one of these shows and support two internationally touring musicians, you’ll be a saint. Not to be missed. Hit either of their profiles for more info and ticket links!

Lovelorn - What’s Yr Damage (2021)
:
Such a beautiful ambient and atmospheric album to start the day off. Patrick and Anna from Lovelorn are on to something with this one. It is such a unique sound that makes it difficult to describe and you just need to check it out for yourself.

LET’S GO TO WAR (NU) IS OUT TODAY. Link in bio.
After a long UK tour with Bob Mould last month, it seemed like the right kinda time to drop a new one from the Failures Revisited series. This time, it’s Let’s go to War (alternate version). This was the first song I ever wrote for the album.
If you want me to go into it, it’s all about the cyclical nature of life.
There are several times on the album where there’s a reference to either war / battle or sleep. They’re two extremes, and in terms of the mundanity of modern life and one’s personal struggles and daily battles, they’re both deemed necessary to be a functioning human. You fight to get through stuff every day and sleep is your reward. The battles you’re fighting seem important, but they wear you down and can stop you from appreciating whatever is outside of them (a scarlet red sunset and a sky that looks like a Monet painting). These are the things that help us break free from the daily cycle and the daily grind – fight then sleep, fight then sleep.
Then when life is coming to an end, you look up at the beautiful sky and finally appreciate it. And hopefully there’s some serenity to be had in that moment, but it’s too late. The lesson is finally learned, ironically.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that maybe we need to fight fewer battles and get more sleep and appreciate a nice sky once in a while.
Rat Tally hitting the road in October!! 🚐💨

Hi friends! I’ve been a little out of touch lately….the pandemic colliding with having our second child, has had me zoomed in on day-to-day, and taking a break from social media. Having a reset helped me realize how much music is still a touchstone 💎 (crystal/rock/gem) for me…and I’m grateful for you all, near and far who I’ve met through music and otherwise. With limited time I’ve been focusing on writing, and I hope to play some new songs for you soon! In the meantime, I hope this finds you well
❤️ - Shannon

Repost from @katieannemalco • A new version of my song The First Snow is out today. It’s recorded how it was written - soft piano and a sense of unease. You can listen to it via the link in my bio and mourn the cancelled Christmas party you were supposed to go to today / tonight. Hope everyone is ok despite the covid spike here in the UK. My friend @quinnchristopherson lives in Alaska. “Is it snowy there right now?” I ask. “It’s so snowy I’m going skiing this afternoon” says Quinn. In June, he came over to the UK for a couple of months, and he told me that in Alaska normal every day people do stuff like that all the time over there. Snow based activities. I told him that over here we have to go to the alps and it costs bucks and for this reason I’ve never done a snow based activity in my life. In Alaska, they also eat whale blubber by skewering cubes of it then freezing it and serving it with soy sauce. Long story short, he filmed some snow on his phone for me whilst on a chairlift. He also filmed whilst actually skiing and doing a British accent, but the footage gave me motion sickness. Thanks so much to him for giving this song a visual. Northampton’s grey buildings weren’t quite cutting it.
