This month's topic of Medical Monday, "Early Heart Attack Care," will be presented by Reid Health Heart & Vascular Center's Manager, Sharol Plasterer, RN, as well as Denise McDaniel, RN, Cardiac Cath Lab. They'll discuss heart health facts, statistics for heart disease and heart attacks, and risk factors.
Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death for adults in the U.S., but reducing this risk is possible by taking steps such as regular physical activity, a nutritious diet, quitting smoking, stress management, and annual physical exams.
