The novel Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy is finally being made into a movie. It will be fascinating to see if the producers can really pull this off given the violence and dark nature of the novel. In my latest short story titled The Judge, I use McCarthy’s antagonist in my story and I give him a bit of a different ending than what he gets in the novel. It will be interesting to see how far the movie strays from the novel!
