Rarely do I ever turn the lights and camera on myself. I’ve been voyaging a journey of exposure lately and making room authentic openness. Learning in order to see others, I must also allow myself to be seen.

If you’re new here, I’m a Portrait Photographer and Cinematographer loving on Black skin one frame at a time. I don’t simply snap and send you on your way. We connect, build trust, belly laugh, and I invest my expertise in how you desire to be seen.

Whew I couldn’t wait to scream this! 🤩🥰

The sweetest gratitude to the amazing committee and team at and for selecting me as a grant recipient!! Thank you for acknowledging my art and story in a sea of over 1,000 artist!

The cost of creativity isn’t often discussed. BWP x Nikon grants allow Black Women photogs like myself, the visibility, accessibility and financial opportunities they deserve. Many of you know I moved out of my production studio last fall, though not as a choice of my own. Gentrification pushed in and I was pushed out. Ironic how visual art moves the world forward yet receives the least love. Feeling empowered by this opportunity is an understatement. This grant will kickstart the funding for a new creative space where I will continue my photographic love letter to blackness 🤎📸✨
