When you're confused or discouraged about what's going on in your life, just pray about it--not because God doesn't know what's happening but because you and I don't perceive what's happening. Our vision is limited, and our perspectives are skewed. That's why we should pray.

Even as I celebrate America--even as I'm grateful to be American--I'm reminded that I was created as an eternal being for an eternal Creator. As C.S. Lewis said, I was made for another world.
It's not Memorial Day, but Independence Day is coming. Here's a tribute to my favorite American, my dad, on the AG website; I didn't realize it was there.
Grief is a remarkable thing. It's so awful to experience, but it compels you to consider life and faith on so many levels. Grief causes despair, remorse, sadness, and sometimes regret. But it also makes you thankful for your many blessings. After you get some space from the trauma, you realize what a beautiful thing life is. You appreciate freedom, love, and compassion. You are faced with your own mortality.
Sue Schlesman minimized her grief and developed a distorted view of God as detached, but a chance click on an online video ultimately led her to learn how God was walking with her and drawing her to Him every step of the way.
Stress is unavoidable, but distress is preventable. Make sure your work is the right work for the right reasons.
