MONDAY MONDAYS --
Mondays for preachers are like the twigh light zone of mental reset. We keep trying out new things to feel better about it but at the of the day, it's just another monday and so you tell your staff on Tuesday how great Sunday was. BUT WHAT IF you could actually be led somewhere to find water that restores your soul and made it a day of recovery, and restoration???

How the heck can we do that????

My Mondays -
Hot Tub worship and prayer
Scheduled meetings with relationships that fill not empty.
Plan for the week around this one mission, Spend time with the Father, be led beside still water for restoration. Spend time with brothers and sisters in Christ who also live on mission. What is the mission? Did reviewing how many people were at church answer that for you? Did counting the offering answer it? Did people coming to Jesus or declaring Him in baptism answer it?

What would church like if Jesus showed up and equipped us?

Today is our family's 20th Anniversary for Compassion International! During this time, we've sponsored 8 children over 20 years, written hundreds of letters, and met two of them. We haven't done everything right. Sometimes, I forgot to write everyone. Sometimes, I forgot to pray for them. Sometimes, I forgot to spend extra for Christmas and birthday gifts. But Compassion International never forgot to meet their needs or give them gifts. Jesus never forgot them.

And no act of compassion ever returns void in the Kingdom of God. Compassion International is literally one of the best decisions we have ever made. It's the real gospel that Jesus quoted in Luke 4:17-20. I can't wait to meet them and their families in heaven one day.
