Doesn’t get much better than our night bite right now. Started off the night catching about 75 striper and 100 white perch. Transitioned to catfishing for a few hours and caught a couple trophy blue catfish. Striper are not in season but we kept white perch for bait and took home the largest of the bunch to eat.

Got out for a couple hours this morning, to scout for future guide trips, and crossed paths with 3 trophy fish. Biggest tipping the scales at 65, 50, 33. Found a nice bass and watched the sturgeon breaching the entire morning.

Black Lake, NY Fishing Trip Day 6:
This was our last full day of fishing for the trip and we wanted to meet our goal of 100 fish. We didn’t accomplish the goal in the morning but still had fun landing 7 bass and 4 pike. A windy evening with a high pressure storm rolling in provided the perfect combination to crush our goal. We found some fish schooled up on the bank and tore them up landing 11 bass, 7 pike and 1 bowfin. This was our longest pike of the trip although he was a skinny guy. Some of the best fishing we ever experienced! Great way to close out the week!

Putting our knowledge from the week to work, we wanted to have our best day yet and we accomplished that goal. In the morning, we found 10 bass and 6 pike for our best session of the week to that point. The evening was a little slower with a cold front rolling in but we still found 6 bass and 2 pike and our best day of the trip so far!
