🌟🌍🕎 Celebrate Kwanzaa 2023 using Kujichagulia! 🕎🌍🌟

Today we celebrate the second principle of Kwanzaa: Kujichagulia, meaning self-determination. It urges us to define ourselves, speak for ourselves, and create our own destiny. Let's explore meaningful activities that families, individuals, and couples can engage in, embracing this principle together.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 For families: Gather around and share stories of personal triumph and perseverance. Encourage children to identify their dreams and aspirations, igniting self-confidence, and fostering a sense of empowerment and unity within your family.

🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ For individuals: Practice self-reflection and set personal goals for the upcoming year. Embrace new challenges and cultivate a strong sense of self. 🌱💪 Take time for self-care and engage in activities that affirm your identity, such as journaling, meditation, or exploring your passions.

💑 For couples: Engage in deep conversations about personal values, goals, and aspirations. Support each other in pursuing individual dreams while building a shared vision. ❤️💭 Plan a special date night where you can both discuss how you can encourage and empower one another.

🔑 Today's symbol, Ahenwa, represents the unbreakable spirit of self-determination through cultural groundness and rightful governance. It reminds us to stand strong in the face of adversity and to strive for excellence in all aspects of our lives.

📢 Let's commit ourselves to living the principle of Kujichagulia not only today, but for years to come. Embrace self-determination, empowering ourselves and others to create a brighter future. 🌟🌍🕎

The beautiful and historic lobby. If anything celebrates its "new old-fashioned way", it is our revamp of the Hotel Petersburg. We are taking it into this century, yet not stripping it of its last century. We’re working hard at making it gorgeous and keeping it nostalgic. Maintaining the integrity of who we are, while simultaneously striving to be a better version of who we were yesterday is a positive sign of growth. We can't wait to check you in!
