Y’all - it’s spooky season and I am woefully behind in posting spooky content. Just this year so far - we’ve done two investigations at a local tavern in Hanover County, did an overnight alone in the Haunted Hill House of Mineral Wells, TX, experimented with a little bit of remote viewing, and spent 3 nights in Gettysburg for the first time with lots of eerie events, bumps in the night, and oddly informative Estes sessions.

We tried starting a podcast back in the Spring and fell into the creative hole of “How do I put my own unique spin on this well talked about location?” Which led to writing paralysis. But the month’s not over and here I am sharing a creepy Hall of Presidents mannequin from the basement of the Farnsworth House in Gettysburg, PA. Hoping to get our act in gear and get an official second episode of the podcast recorded and put out before Halloween! Here’s hoping! 🤞

And afterall - when it comes to the paranormal, it’s all about intentions right? 😉

So, uh.. we got woken up by a spirit for the first time ever. We’d only had the lights off and been asleep for 20 minutes when 6 heavy boot steps walked around our four poster bed at the Farnsworth House of Gettysburg.

The home is old and creaky, but these were 100% in the room with us. My “calm” demeanor was trying to listen and rationalize while my heart raced. But my left arm had certainly shot behind me to grab my husband’s in the moment.

EDIT:
We met our room neighbors at breakfast and one of them did get up around 2:30am. However he was barefoot and his party all watched the video and debated it themselves and seemed to agree the sound is more heavy like boots and unlikely it was the one guy.

They also said the people in the room before us also heard footsteps and felt bumps on the bed and the door handle jiggling.

Hi all! Been fairly quiet lately, but we are out and about and back at it! Hope to have a lot more content soon. 👻

Episode 1 is Live! We’re starting out this journey with a look at some classic UAP history from back in World War II. Though we recorded this back in March, it just randomly timed well with this week’s .

The BuzzSprout link is below, but it should be up and available on all your favorite podcast platforms by Friday at the latest.

Let us know what you thought if you give it a listen! This is still early days and we’ve got a lot to learn about crafting episodes, but hopefully this will be some fun background noise while you’re checking off some housework. 😉🖤🛸

UAP's have been all over the news recently, but they're not new to our military members. For Episode 1, we're journeying back to World War II to look at a phenomenon experienced by fighter pilots while on missions. So whether you're a history fan...

We’re excited to upload our official Episode 1 this Thursday! But in the meantime, can we all geek out a little over this crazy good Intro song written and recorded for us by Joey's Jingles?!

If you haven’t listened to our Introduction episode yet - head to any of your favorite podcast platforms and search “Journey of Weird” for our short 18 min get-to-know-us track. 🖤👻

This is precious and I love the nerd energy of it.

And in timely news - Episode 1, dropping this Thursday, May 19, is all about unidentified aerial phenomena witnessed by World War II fighter pilots. 🛸 (We recorded it in March, so talk about happy timing!)

OK this is it! The Journey of Weird podcast is officially LIVE!!

It’s taken us months to work on artwork and get a couple episodes recorded and all our 🦆🦆🦆🦆 … but here we are!

Starting with a simple Introduction episode, but lookout for next Thursday, when we’ll be dropping Episode 1! (🛸)

Our plan is to release episodes on Thursdays - most likely every two weeks to keep a pace that’s sustainable for us. We’ll be covering weird topics and adventures, from ghosts to UFOs to restaurant recommendations. After all, the paranormal highway is long and you’ll need to keep your spirits up! 🍻👻

We hope you’ll visit our BuzzSprout site to give this first Ep a listen!

(We see it can take a day for platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc to publish, but hopefully it’ll all go smoothly and be available everywhere you get your podcasts starting tomorrow May 6.)

Finally going through the bulk of the files from our overnight at the Haunted Hill House. A couple oddities, but I definitely see where the more you do this, the more evidence you gloss over or dismiss in the review process. Orbs aren’t interesting unless they show deliberate movement towards or away from something else that shows an effect. I find myself looking for clues that connect multiple odd things for one occurrence.

For instance this clip. There’s a noise on the Spirit Box in the hallway at the exact same time the EMF reader spiked to red, and an orb flies upward in front of the camera.

No clue what the Spirit Box tried to say, but something electrical really seemed to stir up all 3 things at the exact same time.

(This was in Toby’s Room on the second floor during Sonny’s part of the tour.)

My POV just after the wind threw the front door open and closed the hallway door inside The Haunted Hill House. [11:02 p.m. 4/3/22]

So this actually happened the night Andrew and I were there. We were in the kitchen with owner Sonny, talking about equipment and getting ready to go upstairs for the second part of our tour. The wind that blew into the house slammed the hallway door shut as well. We three decided it was the approaching storm that pushed the old house’s door open.. but other people who’ve been to the Haunted Hill House on multiple occasions said they’ve never seen it so that before.

What’s odd is that this was definitely a loud shocking event, but somehow the rest of the night and house had me unnerved that this event didn’t really register for me. A lot easier to just trust it’s natural and not supernatural.

In the video you hear two words “Come in.” about 5 seconds into it. That would’ve come from the second floor spirit box speaker system they leave on for the spirits to communicate thru. So, did something come in when the door opened? Or was it just making a joke about it slamming open? 🤔

Made it through the night. Played Texas Hold ‘Em and lost to a ghost. Heard a couple AVPs. Had some doors shut and open on their own. Lots of evidence to review. So… so sleepy now. 😴

04/04/2022

It's 1:40 am central time on 4/4/22 and we're finally going Live! Kathy and Sonny were awesome about giving us a thorough tour of the house - downstairs and up! If you're somehow still awake, say "Hi!" We also plan to save the video to watch later.

04/04/2022

Hey all! I didn’t realize how robust the tour portion is. Kathy and Sonny do a thorough job telling us about room by room and an equipment overview. We won’t be on our own til after midnight central time. If you can catch us - great! We’ll still try to do it. 🙂 ❤️
