ALERT: AEP Bill Up for a Vote in VA Senate on MONDAY!

My SB 1281, the "AEP Accountability Act", is being heard by the Senate Commerce & Labor Committee this coming Monday afternoon (1/27) in Richmond.

Senator Pillion and I cannot do this on our own...we need your voices to join us! Here's how you can help:

1. Come to Richmond and the General Assembly Building to be present during the committee hearing. The address of the GAB is 201 North 9th Street, Richmond, 23219. There are public parking garages around downtown. Once inside the GAB, the meeting is held on the 3rd floor in Senate Room A.

2. Virtually testify during the committee. You will need to use your computer to "zoom" into the meeting and the Senate requires your camera to be working so that they can hear AND see you. If you want to do this option, please email my office: [email protected]. My staff will walk you through this process.

3. Email written comments that will be distributed to all committee members (who will be voting on the bill). You can send those comments to [email protected]. Please email your comments no later than Monday at 9AM.

TIPS:
🔺Please try to keep your comments (whether written or verbal) succinct and no more than 60 seconds (for verbal).
🔺Focus on how your bill has gone up over time, yet your behavior has not drastically changed.
🔺If you can provide a copy of one or more of your bills, that is great.
🔺Please include WHERE you live (city/county/town name is sufficient).

Folks, together we WILL make a difference! Thanks for all of your support!

The Tazewell Bulldog Radio Network wants to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Head Coach J’me Harris for his 8-year coaching tenure, which restored pride to Tazewell Bulldog football.

Coach Harris was the consummate leader, being the first to arrive and the last to leave, and doing all the little things needed to build this program. He made it a point to express how important the marching band, the cheerleaders and the fans were to making Friday nights in Bulldog Stadium special.

He always placed the needs of his players first, understanding that high school football is more than simply winning and losing. In so doing, he built a culture of community involvement that exemplifies the best of what high school athletics can offer.

Coach Harris took over a program that was struggling with participation and grew it to one that that doubled its roster size. His teams set many school records, including most points scored in a season (2023) & six straight playoff appearances. He saw his players set numerous school records and even two VHSL records. He helped well over a dozen of his players sign to play football at the next level in college.

Coach Harris was one of the Tazewell Bulldog Radio Network’s biggest supporters since our creation. He did everything from coach interviews, to scheduling the weekly video segments, to securing advertisements to fund our ventures. Many of the segment ideas that we use came directly from him. He was gracious enough to give us unlimited access to the program which helped us to bring you all the best coverage of the Bulldogs on Friday nights.

Coach Harris, Lashunda, Chancellor, Cassius & Kylie — we appreciate all of your sacrifices and dedication to the Tazewell Bulldogs. Please know that you all will be sorely missed.

The Tazewell Bulldog Radio Network wishes the Harris family the very best as they begin the next chapter of their lives in Pittsburgh, PA.

Once a Bulldog…ALWAYS a Bulldog.
