Here’s a great hack for saving money! 💵
Have you ever seen those TikTok’s for those cool envelope savings binders? Where you put a certain amount of cash in each envelope?
Well I LOVED that idea but rarely ever have cash, so I thought, “There has to be an app for that, right?” I was so right!
I have been using this Savelop app since the beginning of the year and it has been so helpful in helping me reach certain savings goals.
▪️It’s completely customizable: You pick how much you want to save and in how many days
▪️You open one “envelope” a day: I transfer money from my checking account to certain savings accounts via my banking app
▪️Each day is a different amount and no cash needed!
I currently have 3 different savings challenges set up for various things and I love how I can put a little bit away each day without being overwhelmed at the overall goal.

Some days the energy is on point, my motivation is high and my body is feeling great 🤩
Other days I feel every bit like a 37 year old pregnant lady trying to manage back pain, 4 other kids and just want to take a nap.
It’s called balance 😂
Today I am feeling every bit the later scenario but it’s ok! Not every day is going to be amazing and I need to take these as cues from the Lord to slow down, at least just a little bit.

When talking about my carnivore journey, I often get asked how long someone should try it for 🥩
In all honesty, I would recommend no less than 90 days. This gives your body the best chance to heal and the true benefits to really come through. However, if that seems daunting, then I would say go no less than 30 days. It can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks for your body to adjust from carbs/sugar as a fuel source to protein and you don’t want to short change yourself on feeling your best.
One way to look at it is like this: if you hike in 6 miles to a waterfall you have to hike the 6 miles out no matter what. Same concept with diet and health.
If you have been eating a Standard American Diet a majority of your life, it’s going to take some time for you to reverse those negative effects on your body and health. But I can 100% tell you that it’s worth it.
The leaves are already changing and I’m here for it! 🍁

For a while I have been dabbling in the world of sourdough. Nothing too extensive, but just enough that I have a sandwich bread recipe that I make a minimum twice a week.
Now that the school year is upon us, I wanted to venture out and try out some easy breakfast options. The kids are always big fans of breakfast sandwiches and being able to make them ahead of time would make getting the kids to school a lot easier in the mornings!
So we’re going to try these out this weekend and I hope they are a hit! I’ll share the link to the recipe in the comments!

For me, this is hitting different.
I am 99.9% sure that this is the last time I will be pregnant. Honestly, I never really felt like Ulysses was my last and I always had a feeling in the back of my mind that there could be one more. And here we are 🩵
This time, things feel more like the end than before. That in just a few months I will have my last home birth with my last baby and close this decade long chapter of my life.
I’ll admit, it will be nice to have my body back, to totally heal from all the years of making people, but I know it will be bittersweet. So I am making sure to enjoy all the little kicks he gives me, watching my bump grow, and seeing the kids already bond with their baby brother by feeling him move in my belly.

✨ 4 ways going carnivore changed my life ✨
1) I lost 30lbs in the first 4 months. This was all excess baby weight that had been hanging on from my last 2 pregnancies. I had tried working with a nutritionist, working out 5-6 times a week and was taking so many supplements with barely any progress being made until going carnivore.
2) My anxiety & depression went away! Yes, you read that right. I have felt better on this way of eating in such a short time vs the 9 years I was on anti depressants and in therapy.
3) My hormones balanced on their own. When I started I was 12 months postpartum with my fourth baby and my cycle was a mess. My periods were irregular and I know this was also contributing to not being able to shed the weight I had gained in pregnancy. It’s also to blame for me currently being pregnant with Baby 5 😜
4) My sleep has improved immensely. I fall asleep faster, get more deep, restful sleep, and was actually waking up feeling refreshed.
I have been on my carnivore journey for 9 months now and continuing this way of eating, event while currently pregnant. Even with growing a baby, I still feel so much better sticking to animal based foods than I have during any of my other pregnancies on SAD (standard American diet).
For those who are wondering, yes, my midwife is completely fine with this. My vitals are always strong, my bloodwork continues to come back normal, and baby boy is growing right on schedule 🩵
