The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point will be putting on a softball clinic Wednesday, July 17th from 2-5. This will be located at the Rhinelander Softball Field Complex, or the Hodag Dome weather permitting. This is an amazing opportunity for softball players of all ages to work on skills regarding pitching/catching, infield, outfield, batting, etc. We highly encourage all youth and high school level players to attend as we anticipate incorporating some of these philosophies, skills, and drills into our Hodag softball program.
See the Hodag Fastpitch Camp Registration Flyer attached, as well as the google form for signing up. The cost will be $20 per player, which includes a cookout at the conclusion of the camp put on by the High School Coaching staff for all participants. And were changing the record board! A Huge Congratulations to Libbey Buchmann who broke the school record in the Discus Throw with a toss of 134-9. Way to go, Libbey!

The Hodags are making their way back to town. Their estimated time back to the outskirts is 2:25. Police es**rt in the works that will begin on Kemp St. & see the Hodags parade the trophy up Brown St. before the procession heads back to the high school.

Es**rt time TBD, but anticipating about 2:30 today as the team will depart from Waukesha around 9 with a stop or two along the way.

Tomorrow we will welcome home the WIAA D2 State Swim Champions with a police es**rt in the afternoon.

On Monday Nov. 13th at 10:30am we will have a pep assembly at Rhinelander High School. We will hear from Coach Heck, Captains, and the Rhinelander City Administrator! We will also have two D1 College Scholarship signings!

Hodag football is in!

WIAA Football seeding show is complete. The Rhinelander Hodags recieved the #6 seed and will travel to # 3 seed Onalaska this coming Friday at 7pm. While the end of the regular season was tough, the work you did at the beginning of the season was rewarded today. New season now!

It’s back!!

As a partnership with Rhinelander ABC, we’ll be giving away a 2024 Viaggio pontoon this year (with all proceeds going towards supporting our local athletic programs)!

Tickets are $20 each, and can be purchased from your favorite local athlete (we will also have tickets available at our store, 2230 N Stevens St.)!

Our home game v. Hayward this Friday, September 8 will be dedicated to service men and women. Prior to that game we would like to invite First Responders, Military Personnel, and Veterans to join the varsity Hodags for their pre-game team meal. WIAA Softball Seeding Meeting is complete, Rhinelander Hodag Softball Team got the #8 seed and will host the #9 seed Shawano Hawks next Thursday May 18th at 5pm behind the Dome at the Haug Complex on Andrea Musson Field. Since this is a WIAA Tournament Game admission is required. $7 for adults and children 5 and under will be $1.

You are invited to the 41st Annual Athletic Booster Club Banquet.

The banquet will be May 17th at Holiday Acres. Social hour with a cash bar at 5:00, dinner at 6:00 and the program to follow.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids 10 and under.

It’s always a great night! We give out our 2 scholarships, we induct our Hall of Famers and give out the prestigious Heart of the Hodag Award. This years Hall of Fame class will include: 1998 Graduate, Kerry Brekke (Hagen) and 1999 Graduate, Teague Orgeman.

Our terminal door on the east side of the Hodag Dome (normal entrance) is waiting for parts to be fixed. NO NOT USE THIS ENTRANCE for athletics!

All athletes and spectators will park behind the high school and walk up the sidewalk to enter on the west side of the Hodag Dome. We will have a porta potty right by that door. If you would not like to use that, the high school will be open and you are welcome to use those bathrooms. Please use door 19 and head to the front of the HS, then past the commons you will see the bathrooms.

Today we will welcome home the WIAA D2 State Champions your Hodag Boys Swim Team between 2:30pm and 3:00pm with a police es**rt downtown. This is history in the making, hope you can stop down and welcome them home!
