We had some family time fun yesterday and ran into some friends from ! The kids really enjoyed hiking down to the river to release the baby trout and they learned about them too! This was a first for all of us and I was SUPER EXCITED!!! My wife couldn’t tell who was more excited, the kids or me!

Why I love fishing.
When the world got turned upside down and was forced to retreat inside, I was forced, like many, to look inwards and to really ask myself difficult questions. Therapy I guess you can call it. I also discovered something about my father that, ignited me to pick up this sport/hobby. Hearing his stories of how him and his buddies would catch fish back in Tonga made me want to experience that for myself. I think his best story was when his friends ditched him in the ocean and a giant whale shark swam next to him.
I discovered a lot about myself and what I’m capable of and was able to heal through fishing and the experiences had. I guess what I’m trying to say is, it’s not so much about the fish you’re going to catch, but the lessons learned and friendships you will develop along the way. Just one of the many golden nuggets I’ve learned so far.

I went out to Pyramid Lake again earlier this week! I went to two beaches, Warriors Point and a beach near Blockhouse. Despite all of my efforts, nothing was caught that day. I learned a lot and had a great time just being out there. I’m learning more and more about the lake with each visit. Can’t wait to get back out there on Monday!

They say, if you chase perfection that you’ll be running forever! I’m excited and nervous to open up my shop to you all! It’s been something that I’ve been thinking on and planning on doing for years but have JUST mustered up the courage to bring my ideas and dreams to life these past few months.
Taking ownership of your future can be a very daunting task and starting your own personal business on the side is even more scary!!
I grew up around family and relatives who have hustled and worked their way into the American dream. Being a first generation anything means that you’re a trailblazer and can set the tone to the rest of the family. Nothing and no one can stop me from going to where I want to go, other than myself.
