Let's flip the switch here - how can you as a client be "A Good Client" for your social media manager? 🤔
My biggest tip and the one thing I've noticed with my own clients is the willingness to collaborate, to be involved with the process, and CARE!
I know it's tempting to just throw your content towards a SMM and say go to work, but sometimes this can leave a disconnect between your content and yourself.
While your SMM should:
Collect, organize, strategize, and create the content you send them
It's important that they are getting your words, your voice, and your expertise from you.
When your SMM asks you for a video of you, or recommends you show your face, answer questions on stories, it's to help maintain that connection between yourself and your followers.
If you have ideas - tell your SMM!!
If something seems off - tell your SMM!!
If you'd like to move away from something old you've been doing - tell your SMM!!
My clients that have the most success and most engagement is usually when they care a lot about how their content/work is shared.
However, don't be overbearing! Trust them and their process, but communicate with them and CARE deeply about your content. It truly shows.
