Blue Beach Studio Two days later, and I’m still riding that high from Saturday night. Seven hours of absolute madness in the best way possible. New faces, old friends, and just keeping it real the whole time.
First off, huge love to Mia Slater, My Mom, and My Sister – they were the backbone of this event, holding it down with killer food and drinks. The fact that they kept everything running smooth behind the scenes? Couldn’t have done it without them.
Big thanks to everyone who came out and kept it respectful – the place looked better than I expected when I woke up. And, real talk, so grateful the cops didn’t show up! We threw down hard, but the vibe stayed right.
Shout out to Patrick Sullivan from DFL and Full Offence – you got things going with Jerry Hernandez and all the comedians, and it was seamless. Thanks to Adam Martinez, Mario Rodriguez, Angel Hernandez, Adam Chong, and you all brought the house down with the laughs. Jerry, man, you’re the real deal. I’m looking forward to working with you again – you really know how to fill in the blanks.
Big love to JP Cordero for coming through and getting the video work done. Can’t wait to see what we captured – you’re down for the cause, and it shows. , you’re a secret weapon – not so secret anymore. Keep doing what you’re doing.
To all the bands – Special C, Thanks Jason McMackin for doing some last min ground work to make this next level ! Will, Skeleton Bay, LOUD!, Full Offence, hobobridgepunkrock, and One Square Mile – you brought the heat! One Square Mile, driving all the way from Oceanside after a prior gig just to put the cherry on top? You guys killed it.
Special thanks to Rick Thorne for keeping the party rowdy. Growing up watching you on TV and now having you kick it with us was surreal. Thanks for staying true and for the energy you brought.
Also, big shout out to everyone who donated – that was very cool. I’m feeling inspired and beyond grateful. My sister flying out from Texas to surprise me and then working the whole show with my mom? That’s love.
To everyone who was part of this night, thank you for being down for the cause. Punk rock is alive in the SOUTH BAY, and I’m stoked to be a part of it. Here's to many more nights like that. Let’s keep it going, keep it real, and make more magic happen. Culture Is Crucial
