The Fed meet and Lowered the Fed Funds rate by .50 bps

Remember, the Fed doesn’t control mortgage rates. Lowering their Fed rate doesn’t mean mortgage rates will go down.

I believe this will help Consumers Confidence to purchase

However, HELOCs ARE tied to their rate. So HELOC rates will drop by the same amount as the Fed cut.

Mortgage rates will be 5.75 to 6 percent by year end. (BoA)

According to Mortgage News Daily, the NATIONAL AVERAGE rates
6.11 conventional 30 yr
5.63 conventional 15 yr
5.65 FHA 30 yr
5.66 VA 30 yr

Non-QM Rates, like bank statement loans and DSCR Loans are approx 2% higher
