Goodhue County Commissioner Brad Anderson on December 9th received the 2025 Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC) President’s Award at AMC’s annual conference in Bloomington.

Anderson, a former district director who helped shape the organization’s statewide policy priorities, said of the recognition, “Receiving the President’s Award is an unexpected honor.”

Goodhue County Coordinator, Marc Gerken, Retired U.S. Navy, says they have the dates scheduled for distribution this year.

Marines will be picking up most the donation boxes today but they will stay up in Red Wing at the Red Wing Public Library, Hanisch Bakery and Walmart through mid next week.

Lake City Police have released the name of the suspect in the Wednesday shooting.

Officers employed less than lethal bean bag shotgun rounds to subdue the suspect, 81 year old Willam Charles Piar, 1304 N. High Street, Lake City.
