"This Old River"... Can't say how special this was to work on this song with Frank Martinez & his wife Wanda, who also perform as the "JAMBUSTERS". A special Americana style work, written by a friend of theirs.
One of perks of being a part of a project like this is getting to spend time with the artist and their stories.
Frank & Wanda do spend their "warm" days on the Mississippi River and enjoy playing music live with friends any chance they get!
Fun Fact...Frank restored an old ambulance to use as a tour bus, and named it "The Jambulance"!

9 year old Anna working on "Free Falling". Started playing guitar only months ago! She also plays Ukulele, Piano & creates her own song ideas. It's amazing to see her ability to memorize words and difficult melodies to the many artists she listens to. She also, creatively, adds movement to songs while singing them.

Proud to be a part of this Song. An example of collaboration, starting with co-creating the music bed, then developing the lyrics with multiple people involved. Adding the final supporting performing artists for Rickey Medlocke to perform, co-write & co-produce resulting in a Worldwide Release. RISE AGAIN Produced and Mixed at MWM.

A story on the Performance side of MWM...

Mark & Mark Last Night by one the Lakes downtown Minneapolis for a special gathering for Don Damond (longtime former Bassist of TOUCHED with Mark) I first met Mark in '89 when my band from Milwaukee WARPDRIVE would come up to the cities and do shows with Mark's band TOUCHED who would pack the places they played at the time, the Mirage, Loose Ends, Ryans (if I do the math it might be 35 years ago!) Mark also was a family friend of my wife Cindy even before that. Around 2007 Cindy set Mark & I up to play together again at a young girls cancer benefit, and we've pretty much played shows almost every weekend since (so if I do the math it might be 17 years). As a musician you get the opportunity to play with many great people, & some become lifelong friends like family. Looking forward to the next 35 years...
Also we rarely do this acoustic thing, but make sure to catch Johnny and Tyler who do this all the time performing as SOUPBONES everyday at the COASTERS stage at the State Fair! TPK Friday Night too.
(I know it's hard to know which Mark is being talked about, but it's the fun we deal with)

Bart Herbison, who is the Executive Director of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), and a historical advocate for Songwriter royalty rights, (and hears 1000's of songs every day!!) joined Jill Moody for an Online Song Feedback session, where NSAI member's songs are played and reviewed. Bart's reaction, understanding, and kind words are incredible regarding Joe's newest song demo, No Matter Where You Are, performed by Jaime Floyd, who is mentoring Joe Bigalke in song development, along with MWM (which has led to 3 MWM productions released so far with Rock the Cause Inc. 501c3).
Joe creates from the heart (this song created from his experiencing his recent Dad's passing) and touches many.

Catching a couple of the fun things that happen at MWM constantly!
New rotating Art by Robert Lewis in the lobby & longtime MWM student Eben working with his new Banjo. Eben started with me about 5 years ago, (and after moving out of town, went to online lessons) starting with Clairinet, then Alto Sax, Guitar, Piano, Baritone Sax, this Banjo and now even a new Mandolin! A great example of once you work on one instrument, it is possible to transfer those same musical thought processes, to another instrument. Even voice and songwriting.
Love what the days bring here!

So many great moments, of watching the magic of music, develop into lifelong passions, of personal interests to professional Performers & Recording Artists, locally, nationally & internationally.

An amazing accomplishment! A Beautiful demo of a song idea started by Joe Bigalke of Red Wing, with Jaime Floyd of Nashville mentoring Joe on lyrics and song development, in tandem with Mark Woerpel Music production and direction, being picked, for possible artist placement and consideration, through the Nashville Songwriters Association program, by Kate Shirley of Liz Rose Music (Liz Rose is a co-writer of many Taylor Swift hits along with many other Top Artists) with Jill Moody of NSAI hosting.
This video clip is just Joe's time on the zoom call, with Kate picking up "No Matter Where You Are" quickly, while respectfully passing on many other songs in this competitive setting.
Joe's Personal Titles and Concepts, while working with other artists and contributors, are touching Hearts in many ways. An example of being Original and Real with consistent effort.
