AnnaLee and the Lucky So and Sos take our turn on this fun concert series tomorrow night in the green space just south of the Raytown Library.

We thought so too! So, on the second Saturday from May through September, the City of Raytown and friends are putting on an evening of music and fun on the Greenspace in Town Center, downtown Raytown (10009 62nd Street, Raytown, MO 64133).

Dan Smith Agency (est. 1979) is the parent company for Dan Smith Agency Entertainment Booking, Dan Smith Agency Recording Studio, Riverrock (band), Kaw Point Records (label) and Prairie Beach Music (publishing).

Five years after co-founding Riverrock (est. 1974) with original members, Jim Blanton, Steve Hall, John Mumma and Paul Mumma, I started my booking agency to handle the overflow of performance offers for Riverrock and booked mostly Kansas City based bands for night clubs, fairs and events.

Riverrock was inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame in 2011.

Dan Smith Agency Entertainment Booking is an Associate Member of the Kansas Fairs and Festivals Association and the Missouri Association of Fairs and Festivals. Presently, I book mostly fairs and festivals in Kansas and Missouri and some KC area venues, concentrating on the several bands that I have found myself playing with as a professional drummer and percussionist, including Riverrock (presently performing as Riverrock Trio with the Mumma brothers), AnnaLee and the Lucky So & Sos, Riverside Dance Band, The Reddymen Band and regional opry shows.

Dan Smith Agency Entertainment Booking was inducted into the Kansas Fairs and Festivals Association Hall of Fame in 2022 and the Missouri Association of Fairs and Festivals Hall of Fame in 2024.

Dan Smith Agency Recording Studio (est. 1997), began as a small project recording studio in my home in Kansas City's Old Northeast. I moved the operation to my present home in Raytown MO in 2011.

Dan Smith Agency Recording Studio is by appointment only.

All functions of the recording studio are charged at a rate of $30.00 per hour. One master CD is complimentary. Additional copies are $5.00 each.

The talent showcases begin today. My acts include T.J. Ho**er Taylor, son of Johnnie Taylor on the Variety Stage this afternoon, Jimmy Harris Band at tomorrow's lunch set and the Vincents tomorrow night on the main stage.

What a great bunch of guys. It's been a pleasure booking this act for the last couple of fair seasons.

Meet Steven Bankey & The Flatland Band!! This Red Dirt County Band out of Kansas City, MO has opened for top national acts like Whiskey Myers, Granger Smith, Wh**ey Morgan, Ray Wiley Hubbard, Morgan Evans and at the Finney County Fair will be opening for Casey Donahew.
