For those that registered their contact info early on you will find that there is now significant information there. We hope to continue to update it as time and planning goes on.

Formerly there was information floating around that there would not be a Brundage Cup race for current FVs on Sunday. I can assure you that is not correct! I have spoken directly with Mr Brundage as well as his son who is the current holder of the Cup. They both feel that the spirit of the Cup races should continue as long as there are organizers willing to sponsor the event every 5 years. They are also willing to have the Nardi at the event and have asked Fast Fred Clark to make sure it's prepped well enough to do at least some demonstration laps! Heck, who knows, maybe we can talk them into entering it in the vintage race.

I hope that each of you will help us get the word out about the event. It is easy to provide information in this digital age but it is still difficult to find those that need that information provided to them. Our list of potential current FV drivers needs to come from you! Send them to the website or directly to me so that we can encourage them to come and enjoy being among FV friends.

I've been a bit surprised that we have not had any designs submitted for the T-shirt contest. Maybe we'll have to find a way to encourage those of you that have artistic talent to give it a swing. Maybe a wide-5 wheel painted shocking pink?

ALERT ALERT PLEASE CALL IF YOU SEE THESE CARS FOR SALE 25' Carson "Racer" trailer was stolen. Inside was two early 1970's Caldwell D-13. One car "00" was all black and "17" was red and white and of course many spare parts, tools, etc.

Location stolen from: 1132 Mission Street South Pasadena CA. This is a place of business next door to a police station (really).

Look at this picture in the latest edition of Sports car Magazine. West Coast driver Mark Edwards. The Cut line reads: ONE WITH NATURE - Heavy rains pounded Southern CA and turned the dust bowl that is typically surrounding the racing surface at Buttonwillow Raceway Park into a mud bath. Mark Edwards discovered first hand the impact of these rains when his FV veered off course in the early stages of Saturdays race, ending his race early on February 11, 2017.

The season opener is now in the books. The Andy Porterfield Memorial U.S. Majors Tour/ Restricted Regional - Hosted by Cal Club - Jan. 13-15, 2017 @ Auto Club Speedway was a great weekend of vee racing.

There was lots of wind but sunny skies during the Saturday race. That didn't seem to faze any of the drivers though. The race was a nail-biter until the finish.
The final results are:
1st place - Charlie Turner
2nd place - Dennis Andrade
3rd place - Quinn Posner
4th place - Robert Posner
5th place - Ray Strauct
6th place - Marjorie Lundberg
7th place - Don Manthe
8th place - Mark Edwards

The Sunday race was beautiful sunny skies (no wind). Another good race.
