On November 7th, 2020; I mounted my phone on a tripod and made this video. It had been a stressful year because of the pandemic. I wanted to start a channel to help unwind and talk about my newest hobby -- comic books.
4 years, 905 videos and over 1.2 million views later, I couldn't have imagined what this would become. More than a creative outlet, this channel and the community we've built has introduced me to some of the best people humanity has to offer.
I've watched you come together hundreds of times to offer help to those in need (including myself). I see dozens of uplifting comments on a weekly basis. Day in and day out, you display a selflessness the leaders of this world could stand to learn from. The stories we bond over feature people from all backgrounds, worldviews and upbringing. But we bond over the values we hold closest.
In a time that seems more divided than ever, I'm encouraged by that fact. Here's to another 4 years of Dope.
