2025 is fast approaching! Here are a few social media marketing predictions based on what I’m seeing and hearing in these internet and marketing streets.
And you’ll probably think, what about TikTok! Welp! I’m reserving my opinion on that right now. With this new government in place, it’s hard to predict which way things will go for the China based app. So, I’ll just 🤫🤐 about it for now.

I thought adding captions might distract from the demo in the video. You’ll see what I mean. Anyway….
#Here’s a little 🤫 secret. A.I. is making the task of content creation a lot easier for social media managers, influencers, and anyone needing great looking graphics.
I stumbled across such an A.I. tool recently, and it’s called @napkin_ai. And no, I’m no influencer online, but offline I’ve turned some of my presentation making friends onto it and they’re amazed at what it can do.
Game changer and time saver! That equals money saver too. So watch the demo then see for yourself how this great text to graphics tool can help you!

This Spring, Meta placed labels on content it thought was A.I. generated. Often it got it wrong says Creators. But where did those supposedly labels go? And do you think they’re still needed?
In the video you’ll learn Meta’s newest decision on its AI labels. You’ll see too why now more than ever it’s harder to believe what you see.
Though it’s true most of you may not be using A.I. YET, the social media marketing industry is exploring it to the fullest—everything from strategy, to content creation, to automations and analytics. So prepare to see more of it!

Soooo you wanna help @vp Kamala Harris win the #PresidentialElection2024? AND you wanna use your social media profile to do it! Great! But you gotta stop doing this thing I explain in the video.
Some of you mean well, but you’re helping the enemy win by how you use certain content.
In the video I lay out real simply how to support the #harriswalz campaign a lot better! And the more you do it, the more you’ll help the algorithms feed the right message to more people.

So glad to be in the number one more time! Yes, I witnessed AND participated in over 40,000 women—mostly Black women—raise over a million dollars for #kamalaharris2024.
It all began though years ago with @winwithblackwomen founded by @jotakaeaddy in 2020. Sunday was the organization’s USUAL meeting until POTUS Joe Biden announced he was stepping down from re-election and #vpkamalaharris was taking his place.
From there I assume more ppl were invited to the meeting by what we call “dark social”. It’s social engagement that’s kinda off the social media grid. It’s text, email, messaging apps. ALL digital, but more private.
40-44,000 women, mostly Black, did something I hadn’t seen done in years! They went old school. Not that invites weren’t posted on social, but that’s not how it started. It reminded me of how Civil Rights leaders strategically distributed info.
So, in the video, listen as I remind you to use every tool available to you this political season to encourage voting and becoming knowledgeable of facts not fiction. Yes, I lives DO depend on it!

Before I start I need to attribute the content creator, @sugahhlocs. She’s doing what great things with natural hair and content creation.
Still, her video raised some questions though among my circle of friends and aunties. It also go me thinking about media law—something we typically don’t think about until it’s too late.
Social media now IS media and often the same rules apply, especially when you’re creating content for BUSINESS reasons.
The days of stylists and barbers posting the finished results on the business wall or scrapbook are seemingly over. Social media is how this current generation promotes itself and with it comes some old laws on the books.
I point some of those out in the video. Salon owners and stylists take a good listen.
Essentially, if you’re gonna act like traditional media—recording people for content with a business end—then put the right things in order so you can not only record but use the footage how you want. I share a few tips in the video.
DO NOT ASSUME you have permission to record clients and customers just because they didn’t say anything when you started recording.
In fact, we are at that point in social media where traditional media releases or recorded agreements should be providedwhen using people to promote your service or product.
Yes, if IG, YouTube, TikTok are any platform is PAYING you for content it’s time to up your game. Get releases signed by all parties involved so they can’t sue you later when they see themselves on your paid social media account.

LISTENNNN! To many folks are getting hoodwinked and robbed trying to get that coveted follower number—and number is whatever they need it be to appear to be an influencer. 🙄
People, you’re chasing the wrong things and it will cost you. I’m not the only one complaining about Parh Social, folks from YouTube to the Better Biz Bureau are doing the same.
So why would Instagram allow this business to promote itself here? Simply, 💰💰💰! And because Path Social figured out the workaround to getting ppl fake followers in a hurry. Just because a few followers may be real ppl, the bull will not be interested in you.
Remember you’re buying in bulk. And though it may give your profile the PERCEPTION of success. When the engagement drops, which is what IG is focused on, don’t be surprised.
You’ve been warned. You grown so now act accordingly. Have a good week!

Here’s the 🔥! Now throw gas on it. We’ll call it gaslighting. That’s what this new Mosseri video sounds like.
As content creators here on Instagram we’re getting mixed signals from CEO, Mosseri. Is it really about WE demanded video so IG enabled it, or is it Meta (then Facebook who owns IG) pushed video to compete with YouTube and pushed IG to follow suit?
And didn’t Mosseri just tell us last year photos were making a come back? Then recently, just a few months ago, he said IG’s push for video, specifically Reels, was too hard? I don’t think he listens to his past videos.
Whatever the message, you have to do what’s comfortable for you. He said that too about a month ago. You’ve now got to figure it out for yourself and your goals. Stop stressing over what Mosseri says do, it will change month to month seemingly.
Create what’s comfortable for you. Check the metrics over a few months time. Are you getting the engagement? No, try another method or feature. And don’t be scared to try another platform. Don’t be more loyal to a platform that’s not loyal to you.

Have you seen it? You know the new feature you didn’t ask for but everybody is talking about it. I’m talking AI. I’ve got some questions for you in the video.
And in other social media news, Mosseri in another great shirt—big ups on his style choices—shares with users yet ANOTHER new algorithm update. But THIS one he says is all about helping small creators get more views on the REELS. And that too, I’ve some questions about.
Anyhoo, if you see this post at all share your thoughts on these new additions. Do you find them helpful?
I should add hashtags but who’s talking about those anymore, right?
Lotta conversation in these content creation streets about AI and ownership. Can you copyright that video you created with AI? What about those images and logos all created through tools like Dall-E, Midjourney, or Leonardo AI?
Folks if AI was used to create it, you CAN NOT copyright it! So what about your prompts—the words you used to instruct the tool to create your content?
I answer that too in this clip from my Navigating the AI Landscape webinar. Held last month.
Are YOU using AI to create social media content yet?
