we visited the quaint coastal island town of Swansboro, located in Onslow County. Known for its annual Mullet Fish Festival, delicious food experiences, history, and more.
In this episode, we visit Hammocks Beach State Park, with camping and beautiful trails available. We also stop by Pogies Fishing Center, a hub for outdoor activities, from fishing to summer camps for kids, you can also kayak, or take an island taxi for a unique family adventure.
For a taste of local flavor, we dine at Yana's Restaurant, a 1950s-style diner beloved by locals since the 1980s, complete with a quirky Elvis theme and a life-size talking Elvis in the ladies' room! We also explore the History Museum of Swansboro and enjoy a meal at a must-visit Italian restaurant with fresh, in-house dishes and a curated wine selection.
