Waddup to all my Goonies from The Goon Squad…It’s your Captain and I am here to bring you all Episode 10: B^* ‼️ I’m Still Poppin’ Feat. Cam Dollaz LIVE.

After months or maybe even an entire year I finally got the opportunity to sit down and chop it up with Cam Dollaz. To kick the episode off I get into Cam’s upbringing, what his mother and father did for a living and how it was growing up as the middle child up under his brother Quieten and big brother to his sister

As we dig into our conversation Cam details his past time growing up in Radcliff and hearing Troy and the County Boy Entertainment crew make music and picking up the pen and pad at an early age to make music. We talk school, from getting kicked out and having to attend a new middle school, later attending John Hardin High School where he played basketballl, formed his crew The Goodfellz Click and started making music.

Later we talk about how Cam and his team met producer who gave them a beat for the song that later became a big hit. Once this took flame Cam Dollaz and Young Sweet would sign on to do business with Texx’s label Bread Boy Entertainment. During this time Cam would do a deal with Mia Ann and Rhythm Liquor.

As time passed along Cam went on to release various projects such as:

Greater Than Great

Paper Planes

Dolla Signs

Gas Mask

CLOUDS

Clouds Reloaded

The Motive/The Motive 2

We discuss the ins and outs of each project from the producer, his favorite song and music videos that he shot on each project. To end the show Cam Dollaz BBE crew asks him questions, give details about their experience working with Cam and his flowers for what he did to pave the way for music and artists within the community. Oh and new music on the way titled B^* ‼️ I’m Still Poppin’.

Tap in, press play, and listen as Cam Dollaz tells us his journey on the artist side of the business so you can get a clearer vision through this conversation.

Episode 8: Corporate Culture Feat. .0 “The Plug” Thompson.

Inside this episode Desmond pulled up to The WORLDs iLLEST PODCAST to chop it up about what he does on the corporate side of the business/culture. Desmond and I kick off the episode taking it back to his early days growing up in military household. Originally from a small town in North Carolina Desmond talks about his parents meeting at college back in the day. His dad on a basketball scholarship messed up early on in college so he left and joined the military, but always kept in touch with his mother who finished college and they ended up married. As they traveled the world, Desmond’s family ended up at Fort Knox, KY. While here Desmond would play sports and in the band but he grew a love for music, (on a few mixtapes) fashion, writing, and of course shoes.

After graduating high school Desmond had plans on attending Tennessee State University (HBCU) to play in their band but due to missing the SAT deadline Desmond would land at . It would be here where Desmond joined Alpha Phi Alpha, won the step show, became a member of Black Student Alliance and Amazing Tones on Joy. He would also release a dope track that exposed his pen game and skills as an emcee.

Upon graduating Desmond would land a job back home working at helping customers get fresh for all occasions. This is where he became “The Plug” helping people get in the dopest shoes that came out. Desmond worked his way up, became a store manager, and later moved to West Virginia to help revive a store in the mall. After being successful at that Desmond moved on to work in the corporate office as a buyer, where he became in charge of placing all the dope accessories in the stores. After being with Finish Line for many years Desmond took a new job for where he is connecting the dots and making things happen for fashion we see within the culture today.

Tap in, press play, and listen as Desmond “The Plug” Thompson tells us his journey on the corporate side of the business so you can get a clearer vision through this conversation.

Waddup to the Goon Squad and all the Goonies! We are about with another episode. This week is Episode 6: OVERCOME N⚡️ EMPOWER Feat. .n.e._jones90 of .n.e_of_1

All the way from across the Atlantic Ocean Justin came back on a quick vacation to visit family and friends along with The WORLDs iLLEST PODCAST. On this episode Justin and I got to chop it up about his upbringing, what he is currently doing now, and his plans for the near future.

Growing up as a twin Justin, his brother and mother lived on Fort Knox but after a split they would eventually settle in Radcliff, KY where his mother would meet his father, the man who raised him to be who/what he is today.

Here in Radcliff Justin and his brother had a decent upbringing, they attended North Hardin High School, and was apart of a solid church family that would instill them with jewels they carry to this day. It wouldn’t be until high school that Justin got a taste of what he know he’s here for when he stood up for his brother and made a grown man decision.
Once he graduated high school Justin would attend college on a scholarship to play basketball at the next level. After spending time there Justin would eventually leave school and find himself back home where idle time can get you in a bad place. During this time Justin would take a trip to visit his father in prison and while there was told you take a look around at the facility, this isn’t a place you want to be so get out of here and make the right choices. After that conversation Justin took care of business and made a decision to join the Army.

Justin and I talk about his current military experience, and then move into his brand/company OVERCOME N⚡️ EMPOWER (O.N.E.) something he said he has had to do his entire life. It is a platform for Justin to express the things not only he is dealing with but things we deal with on a daily basis but don’t speak on often. You know…those tough conversations.

We also talk about the death of Patch and the entire situation around it and the promise he made to his best friend Dontrez Dawson prior to a car accident that took his life.

Press play now and get a clearer view through this conversation.
