American Red Cross Helping 9 After 2 Fires

FARMINGTON, Conn. (December 21, 2025) – The American Red Cross is helping nine people after two separate fires yesterday and today in Dayville and Canterbury.

The Red Cross is helping:



one family – two adults - three children after a fire yesterday on Valley Road, Dayville
one family – two adults – two children after a fire today on Westminster Road, Canterbury

In each instance, the Red Cross provided assistance to meet the families’ immediate needs. Responders included: Eldon Griffiths, Derek May, Mary Papageorge, Sheri MacKenzie, Sue Bolen, Susan Lund, John Norton, Sandy Spencer and Aiza Shaikh.

Our first home games of the season are tomorrow at 5:00 and 7:00pm (Ellis Tech game is the later one) as part of the bankHometown Tech the Halls holiday hoops tournament!

5:00pm game is Tourtellotte vs. Parish Hill
7:00pm is Classical Magnet vs. Ellis Tech

Fan Theme tomorrow is Winter Wonderland and Tuesday is Ugly Sweaters!

We want to remind everyone of the guidelines regarding attending home events:
$5 cash for adults/ $2 for seniors & students without Ellis ID.
Doors open for the game only 30 minutes prior to tip off.
Good sportsmanship and a positive attitude is expected if you’re going to be in our stands you represent us!

No boots in the gym, and you must stay off the court at all times. Use only the floor mats provided to get to the bleachers.

We have a small concession stand so bring cash, but NO FOOD OR DRINK is allowed in the actual gym, you can eat or drink in the lobby area.

2025 Timberlane Youth K-8 Open

Location: Timberlane Regional High School
36 Greenough Rd, Plaistow, NH 03865

Cost: $35 per wrestler (no sibling discount)

K-2, 3-4:
Wrestling will begin at 9am so make sure to arrive by 8am.

5-6, 7-8:
Wrestling will begin about 12:30pm so make sure to arrive by 11am.
