As members of the storytelling community in the United States, our hearts go out to our friends in Jonesborough, Tennessee with the National Storytelling Festival and to all those affected by the devastation from hurricane Helene. The festival, which was set to kick off today, was canceled due to the catastrophic flooding caused by the storm, and our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Tennessee, North Carolina, and everywhere else affected by this natural disaster.

For more than 50 years, the National Storytelling Festival has been a beacon for storytellers and audiences from all over the world. It holds a special place in our hearts, and now, in this time of need, we join hands with storytelling fans across the country to support the community that has given so much to us.

Here's something we're proud of and want to share. Got kids looking for a summer vacation podcast? Quentin Manning: Detective for Justice is a hilarious and heartfelt 15-part audio adventure series featuring pals Quentin and Sam – a modern-day Don Quixote and Sancho Panza – haplessly trying to solve mysteries at their middle school. Will the Bermick twins get collared for a string of dastardly and mildly criminal misdeeds? Will Quentin ever get Billy's Invader Cards back from Mr. Clacker, Vice-Principal-in-charge-of-discipline? Will Sam ever get his promised supply of Reddi-Mart cheese curls? Find out, and tell your friends to find out too!

Written by the great Bill Harley and produced by BYUradio, this is a summer adventure worth having. Find it wherever you get your podcasts. Link in the comments.
