The rap duo, Metermaids, are not from Rhode Island but they do have a strong connection to the state. On this ep*sode I chat with Sentence and Swell about the origin of their group, the variation of sounds they achieve from album to album, and how they linked up with . You'll also hear some stories of firsts and lasts for these guys that took place here in the Ocean State 🌊

Black Eagle with at in 2023! They'll be returning again this year to this renowned annual festival. Eastern Medicine Singers is a must-see if your lucky enough to have tickets. They usually pull out some fun and unique surprises...so watch for them in 2024 and what goes down

FYI, in our interview Daryl shared that they are the only Native people to have ever performed traditional music at this event

It's an honor and privilege to talk with Black Eagle as we cover some of the differences in sounds of Native American music across North, South, East and West. We also discuss how his group evolved into blending both traditional and experimental music, the true emotion behind what they create, and how the core of why they started this project is still paramount so many years later.

The album they made with .gat Yonathan G*t simply under the name Medicine Singers is a masterpiece! I absolutely recommend you give this a listen and pick it up via to support them. It was definitely a lot of fun learning a bit about how this record was made here in RI at and what went into it
