Broadcasters only get to use them by permission, and must serve the Public at all times. Any radio station must seek to serve everyone under its broadcast listening radius. The community must be afforded every reasonable opportunity to define the content of a station, or else they are not being adequately served. Station operators only serve at the public’s pleasure and with their permission. It i

s not up to the station to decide what is right or best, only to enforce what is legal and what reasonably serves the community, so that the station can continue to serve the community to the best of its ability. Our obligation is to guard and maintain this community resource and make sure that it serves the community as best possible.
