BraveHearts Equine Center in Paris, KY is offering a Valentine's "Carrot Gram Tour" from February 14-16. For $20, guests of all ages will receive snacks to feed donkeys, minis, & draft horses they have rescued and are rehabilitating.

BraveHearts’ mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome younger equines and provide a sanctuary for the senior animals or those who may need specialized care for the rest of their lives. All funds raised will go to feeding and maintaining their horses.

While that term may be correct, as the meaning is "a return of something to a former, original, normal, or unimpaired condition," conservation and restoration are not interchangeable words. The Lunar New Year began today at the new moon and will continue until February 12th (full Snow Moon). It marks the start of a new year based on the moon's cycles rather than the Gregorian calendar. 2025 is the Year of the Wood Snake, the sixth and most tenacious animal in the Chinese zodiac cycle of 12 animals.

In Chinese culture, wood symbolizes growth, flexibility, and tolerance, while Fire represents passion, vitality, and brightness. With this dual influence, people born in Wood Snake years tend to exhibit resilient, courageous, and positive personalities and the ability to persevere in the face of adversity. They are also viewed as perceptive, intelligent, and graceful.

Just as a snake sheds its skin, this year is all about renewal, regeneration, and opportunities for personal growth for everyone.

At 1:40 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 61 cars across four competition classes took the green flag at the Daytona International Speedway to begin the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. Under sunny Florida skies, the GTP class prototypes engaged in fierce battles from the start. Among them: the 707 PS (520 kW) Porsche 963, which claimed victory at Daytona in 2024 and dominated last season’s championship standings.

Ultimately, Felipe Nasr (Brazil), in the No. 7 car, emerged victorious after an intense battle between both Porsche 963s for the lead. With traffic complications in the closing stages, the No. 6 sister car relinquished second place but secured a commendable third. For Nasr, this victory marked his second consecutive Daytona triumph. Laurens Vanthoor (Belgium) and Nick Tandy (UK) celebrated their first overall wins at this prestigious event. Tandy also became the first driver in history to win all four major 24-hour endurance races: Le Mans, Spa-Francorchamps, Nürburgring, and Daytona.

As design trends come and go, one thing is sure: color will continue dominating interiors in 2025. In fact, according to the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s latest design report, white and gray are out, and 52% of homeowners noted that they prefer light, natural colors. Green was the most popular color choice (76% of respondents selected it as the top shade for 2025), followed by blue and brown.

The resort owns the largest fleet of Rolls-Royce Phantoms in North America, with 10 extended-wheelbase Phantoms specifically designed for the resort to chauffeur its highest caliber guests.
