It’s hard to believe the castaways set sail for Gilligan’s Island 60 years ago! Mrs. Gilligan, Dreama Denver, was married to the show’s lovable star Bob Denver for three decades prior to his passing and has incredible stories to tell about Bob and their time together.

To commemorate the TV classic’s milestone anniversary, Dreama Denver and her publisher Headline Books have just released “ISLAND TO ICON”. The beautifully bound scrapbook is packed with rare, never-before-seen photos, mementos, memorabilia and more from Bob’s childhood through his long television and movie career.

Dreama Denver debuts her book ISLAND TO ICON, already an Amazon best-seller, at West Virginia’s Tamarack this Sunday October 6th with a book and memorabilia signing starting at 10am, followed by “Conversations with Dreama Denver” in the Tamarack Theater Sunday at 2pm. Admission is free, but donations of cleaning supplies for the flood relief efforts in North Carolina will be greatly appreciated.

60th ANNIVERSARY Gilligan’s Island BEACH PARTY & LUAU!!!

2024 marks 60 years of Gilligan’s Island and that’s a milestone we plan to celebrate! We want you to celebrate with us!

The gates open at 5 PM and the first 100 folks through those gates will receive a FREE Hawaiian shirt exactly like the one I’m wearing in the first photo.

I’ll be there with my award winning children’s books, Bob Denver bobble heads, a limited number of special edition Gilligan T-shirts . . . and … oh …. yeh … I think I heard a rumor about the possibility of a baseball game at 6:30.

We’ll have live music, a Gilligan Tiki Bar, barbecue pork and grilled pineapple, games, wading pools, the SS Minnow and a 60th anniversary cake!

My good friend actress Julie McCullough (Growing Pains, The Golden Girls, Sharknado, The Drew Carey Show) will be there with me and that right there guarantees a good time! We love Julie because she knew a good thing when she saw it and decided to leave the Hollywood Hills for the West Virginia hills.

Friday is going to be so special and we really don’t want you to miss it, so . . .

Television icon Dawn Wells hosts a Star-studded Lineup, which includes West Virginia’s own Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. at the ‘Valentines for Veterans Concert’ Feb. 14th in Mercer County

PRINCETON, WV Tuesday January 16th, 2019 – A star-studded lineup of veteran and fresh new movie, music and television stars from Hollywood, Las Vegas and Atlantic City will headline a once in a lifetime concert event of music, memories, laughter and love benefitting two charities in West Virginia.

The “Valentines for Veterans Concert” presented by The Denver Foundation and the Southeast WV chapter of the American Red Cross will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton WV.

The star-studded lineup, appearing together on one stage for the first time ever, includes:

• West Virginia’s own “America’s Got Talent” winner season six Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. and his all-star band
• Maiya Sykes, soul-singing sensation from NBC TV’s “The Voice” and vocalist for PostModern Jukebox
• Hollywood heartthrob, Las Vegas and Atlantic City headliner Dave Damiani
• Von Lewis, actor and singer from the Golden Globe winning and Oscar nominated movie “Green Book”
• Female singing sensation Abbey Clark’s timeless tribute to Pasty Cline

As a special added treat, the Valentine for Veterans event will be hosted by everyone’s favorite Valentine Dawn Wells, best known for her starring role as Mary Ann on the TV classic “Gilligan’s Island” and a longtime supporter of The Denver Foundation.

To make the evening extra special, all Valentines for Veterans event attendees will have the opportunity to meet the show’s stars in person and have photos made with them after the show.

A limited number of Valentines dinner and show packages and VIP ticket packages are available.

Veterans and their families who attend will receive (while supplies last):

• Seating in a special “Just for Vets” section

A portion of the proceeds from the Valentines for Veterans event will support The Denver Foundation and the Southeast WV Chapter of American Red Cross. Both organizations are highly-regarded for their efforts to support veterans.

Dreama Denver, president of The Denver Foundation (home of Always Free Honor Flight) and a Red Cross Board Member, said she is delighted to have such an unbelievable array of talent in Mercer County on one stage for one night. “Both the Denver Foundation and the Red Cross do so much work on behalf of our West Virginia veterans,” said Denver, “and to make this night possible in recognition of their service and sacrifice is a privilege for all of us. I hope that lots of people will come out for a great Valentines event to support our wonderful vets.”
