Brian M. Bergner Jr., news/sports editor for The Daily Courier in Prescott, Arizona, has covered high school, college and professional sports for 18 years. Beginning his career as a student-assistant sports information director as early as 19, he joined the news business after graduating from Northern Arizona University in December 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations.
