Carpetbag Brigade Physical Theater
True pioneers in the art of acrobatic stilt dancing, The Carpetbag Brigade masters a unique theatrical language in the delicate overlap of theater, dance, and circus. Rising with beauty, falling with grace, and conjuring ephemeral magic with the movement and action of their powerful bodies. Balancing intensely raw and precarious physical expression with sublime dramatic imagery, a Carpetbag Brigade performance fosters a sense of psychic intimacy, poetic dialogue, and mythic imagery indoors or outdoors and excels in a full spectrum of venues.
By synthesizing acrobatic stilt dancing, butoh dance, contact improvisation, musical composition, contemporary dance, and physical theater The Carpetbag Brigade has pioneered a unique aesthetic approach and corresponding technique that has resulted in 10 original performances and tours to Europe, Latin America, Canada, and the U.S. The company has performed for over 300,000 people worldwide and creates evening-length stilt performances set to original music, built around a poetic storyline and dramatic scaffold making the work accessible cross-culturally.
Meet the Owners of Allied Electric!
Our founder and co-owner, Mario, sharpened his electrical skills among the most challenging conditions for decades in one of the largest U.S. cities and in some of the smallest- which means there’s almost nothing we can’t do for our Prescott community.
Before moving to Prescott, Mario worked for nearly 20 years as an electrician in Brooklyn and Manhattan, alongside his boss and mentor who has had over 60 years of electrical experience running his own business. He’s had the privilege of working on the Empire State Building, in subways, the renowned hospital Mount Sinai, the Plaza Hotel, and much more. He has also worked in Florida airports, and residential homes both large and small throughout Arizona.
This depth and breadth of unique experience in electrical work allowed Mario to develop his skills, values, and work ethic in fast-paced jobs held to the highest standards.
His passion and mission was to start an electrical company where he could do just that- provide high-quality work and outstanding service to homeowners in this beautiful town in Arizona.
