Found out about a fun surprise this week… has animated most recent bestseller, 5 More Sleeps ‘Til Christmas!
I had the opportunity to create the title lettering for the original picture book released last year with . It was illustrated and designed by the wicked talented . Pretty cool to see my type on the screen.
It premieres tonight at 8:30 PM EST on .
I have so much to share from the past year and a half and hopefully this will be the end of my hiatus! Stay tuned for much much more. Hope everyone’s still full from Thanksgiving! 🦃

VOICES OF JUSTICE
More proud than ever to have gotten a chance to work on this beautiful children’s book with such powerful messages.
Written by and illustrated by the incredibly talented . This book is a collection of voices in our history that have poured their lives and souls into creating justice for people of all kinds.
It is more imperative than ever to speak out and use your voice to combat hatred and oppression. We can only do so by working together and changing ourselves for a better future for all.

Well it’s been forever again, but I hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy while we go through these crazy super weird times. Congratulations on making it to another weekend. I’m sitting on a ton of unpublished work at the moment so I suppose now is as good a time as any to begin sharing! Here is some lettering I created for a fantasy book series with on the art direction. This style required a lot of finessing, but I’m pretty stoked with the outcome! I never thought I would enjoy working on a picture book, but now that I’ve had the opportunity to do so, I can confidently say I thoroughly enjoyed the process! It was a massive achievement sending these final files off to the printer last week, and I can’t wait for the books to come in. More to share on this soon!

Since I took a wicked Instagram hiatus this past year, I forgot I have lots and lots of new work to share. A lot more in the making, but for now I’ll start with the second cover I hand-lettered and illustrated from head to toe.
Adventurous Women is a book about eight different women in history who proved to the world that women are capable of so much more than they’ve been told is possible. This is the repackaged version for paperback.
It was a major learning experience as I have always shied away from illustration, especially for something that’s going to be out in the world. I had such a blast working on this under the wonderful art direction of April Ward at . Hard to believe it’s been a year since I worked on this.

Getting my practice in on these acanthus leaves. Always been fascinated by the details of the ornamentation in heavily-intricate lettering work, but always stumped by these bad boys. Not perfect, but it’s a start! Swipe to see more. 👉🏻

A few weeks ago, I was asked to join my friends over at Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group full-time designing book covers. I’ve been in and out of the publishing industry since before I graduated university, with internships and lots and lots of freelancing. The past two years of contracting more seriously with a couple publishing houses has shown me what I really enjoy doing. This is me heeding the call of the industry. I’m in my second week already and it’s been a wild ride so far. Super excited to be on this journey.

I got the opportunity to collaborate with the incredibly talented and bring ’s vision to completion!
Liz and I created a custom brush made from salt crystals in order to lay out the lettering I had drawn. Had such a fun time with this cover.
I’ve been working my ass off lately and keep telling myself I’m going to share more once life slows down for a minute..... Since that doesn’t seem to be the case, I’m going to post whenever I get the chance. Glad to be back on here!

Honeymoon is Booked! 🌴💏

Since is a high school art teacher, we decided to postpone our honeymoon until the summer when she has the season off. We want to try something new and adventure! That’s why we’re headed to Kauai and Maui in July. 🌋

Nine Days & Counting . Holy crap! You ever feel like there’s just never enough time to get everything you want, done? That’s exactly how I feel right now. 🏃‍♂️ . We still have a lot of things to do before the wedding, but I’m trying to remain calm and not TOTALLY freak out. Table number cards are pretty great for helping with that. . This video is sped up a bit, so I could fit most of it into my 60 sec time slot. 😏 Overall, it took under 2.5 minutes to fill in my sketch for this No. 2. . Trying to keep to a budget, we used our returned RSVP cards and glued the fronts together to make new, thicker cardstock for these table numbers. But 🤫, don’t tell anyone! 😉 .
