I have been tossing around this idea for awhile now, especially since I love the TV Series Nashville. As I've been watching this series I've come to identify with Rayna James and what she's trying to create with her own record label "Highway 65 Records". Her philosophy is t
o have a record label unlike the others where her artists can be themselves and be as creative as they want without any pressures. Although her label is mostly for Country Artists, my label will be for what ever Genre your music falls under. I may not always care for all types of music, but I will still support it and the artists/bands who create it. Although I may not have an actual recording studio as of yet, every artist account within my label will automatically gets Bandcamp Pro, so all artists will get batch upload, private streaming, ad-free video hosting, deeper stats, and more. If I sign an artist who already has a Bandcamp account. I can direct payments on a per-release basis, so money for their independent records can continue going right to them, and payments for their releases on my label can go right to me which I will then work out the details of a fair percentage of profits to share equally with my artists. That looks great on mobile too. My artists will be able to drag and drop to customize the order, dial in their design, and make it their default tab if they wish. Fans can follow my artists right from there, and we'll automatically notify them of all their new releases. There's also many options on our Merchandise section too, you can sell your Merchandise, tickets to your events, and more!!
