Beware, Manchurian patsies, wittingly or unwittingly, who, by way of Frank Kitson's 'counter-gang' strategy, vilify those with whom they're associated psychologically, regardless of any real association... From the SCSO FB post:
"A Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detective and a member of the U.S. Marshals Service, both members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force, happened to be in the area and immediately responded to assist. When they arrived, they contacted a male armed with a shotgun and gave commands for him to drop the weapon. The suspect, later identified as 63-year-old Timothy S. King, made statements that law enforcement would have to shoot and kill him, but he eventually dropped the shotgun.
"The first Deputy to arrive heard King yelling from the tree line but could not understand what was said. The Deputy moved toward King’s location and observed the two U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force taking King into custody. A semiauto 12ga shotgun, a bottle of vodka, a bible, and two spent shotgun shells were recovered and seized in the immediate area where King was arrested.
"Uncooperative and belligerent, King was advised of his rights and refused to answer questions."

On March 12, 2024, at approximately 9:50 pm, Spokane County Fire District (SCFD) 4 responded to several reports of a fully engulfed trailer in the 35300 block of N. Newport Highway. Callers provided additional information that a male, armed with a rifle, was observed walking around the area and that this incident might be domestic violence (DV) related. With this update, Sheriff’s Deputies also began to respond.
Once SCFD 4 arrived, they advised this appeared to be arson. Within minutes, SCFD 4 crews reported hearing gunshots in the immediate area. For their safety, SCFD 4 Firefighters took cover, advising the person shooting was north of their location, hiding in the woods.

From witness statements and initial information gained during the investigation that followed, Deputies learned the incident began when King, who has a reported addiction history, began acting erratic and making odd statements. Things escalated rapidly, and he became increasingly irate. The victim, concerned for her safety, called 911 when King started tearing the home apart. Soon after, King grabbed the phone and broke it by stabbing it with a screwdriver. The uninjured victim fled the scene but returned a short time later after firefighters arrived. Witnesses reported King had recently made threats to burn the home down, and one observed a male opening and closing the door rapidly, appearing to be fanning the fire as it quickly grew.
Thankfully, neither the victim nor the uninvolved neighbors or the firefighters were injured during this incident.
King was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail for amended charges of Arson 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree (13 counts), Interfering with the Reporting of Domestic Violence, and Malicious Mischief 3rd Degree.
This remains an active investigation, and as it continues, charges could be amended, upgraded, or added as additional evidence and facts are recovered.
