That moment when you think your lungs will explode because you just ran into the newsroom to scream "the Northern Lights are here!" KOIN 6
Can you spy the cold front passage on radar tonight?
Beautiful today at 1,500 feet. Can you name that mountain in the distance? Know that airport?

Thanks to Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum for giving me the stage to share my love for flying on the 120th anniversary of powered flight. Making presentations like this is a privilege and I hope to do more in support of aviation.
And ladies, if you'd like to try flying or just need a group of women pilots to fly with, follow NW Columbia Cascade Chapter 99s
Relaxing satellite loop
Enjoy this mesmerizing satellite loop of the last 12 hours over the Pacific.
SATURDAY MORNING RAIN
Saturday morning radar loop. Can you see the cold front? Now look west. What’s behind the front? Yes, some clearing and thunderstorms. The fun is just beginning.
Satellite loop Tues. Sep 15
Watch the pretty, swirly stuff. This is a loop of precipitable water in inches from the GFS model. Forecast period: now to this weekend.
Weekend forecast: Whole lotta clouds at the coast

We’re live @oregonstatefair And check out The Nerveless Nocks! @koin6
A sat/rad loop from Tues the 18th to this last weekend. Multiple tropical systems unleashing misery in all directions. Remnants of Fred saturated the south. This set the stage for massive, deadly flooding in Tennessee but the worst of the flooding wouldn't happen until days later. Saturday's severe storms were the final blow. 17+ inches of rain in a day. Unimaginable. Meanwhile, New England was getting hammered by a landfalling tropical storm, Henri. The last landfalling tropical system to hit Rhode Island was Hurricane Bob 8/19/1991. https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/01e0804d58434ce79e0c6fe62098fc25
