GZTV: do you have a cosplay name and page?

AKI: wala po 😁 I am not a cosplayer, but am friends with alot, kasi avid con-goer ako dati and everyone knows me by my nickname Aki or Aki-chan

GZTV: How many years of cosplay experience do you have? (Or let me rephrase that to) How many years have you been going to anime/popculture conventions?

AKI: as a cosplayer Newbie talaga ako, pero as a con-goer hobby ko na tlga siya since 2012, I just hang out with cosplay friends

GZTV: What got you to transition to just going to the cons to full blown cosplay?

AKI: maybe just curious as well, kasi I remember they welcomed me with so much warmth talaga as in!!! ❤️ the cosplay community regardless of all the toxicity it has, hindi mo maikakaila na mas marami pa rin ang mababait at masayang group, you can meet the most heartfelt people in this community and I kinda wanna try out the whole experience, new hobby too, and so far so good, it makes me even happier and the feel like I am not left out....

Advice to fellow cosplayers: enjoy your hobby and focus on what you love ❤️

GZTV: state your Cosplay name and cosplay page if you have?

SARIELLE: Cosplay Name is Sari-chan or just Sarielle.
Cosplay Page: Sarielle Olivier

GZTV: How many years of cosplay experience do you have? And would you consider this enough to be labelled a veteran cosplayer?

SARIELLE: I'm not really sure how to answer this one since my 1st was just literally a try-on thing. And within the years I was in cosplay, there were times when I won't cosplay for a year at all. But if it implies about how long I've been in this hobby, its quite a long time now, about 12 years already.

Hmmm veteran cosplayer? I'm not sure how this is measured. I'm just a very chill cosplayer who enjoys the hobby not really caring about labels. For me, all cosplayers are the same. Newbies, even long timers are all simply COSPLAYERS to me. ☺️❤️

GZTV: What got you into cosplay?

SARIELLE: Before, I show my love for anime by simply reading and watching them with friends. Then make some fanarts too. One day, me and my friend saw people in costumes and we wanted to do the same but we were still really young at that time and we don't have the confidence and of course, budget to make it happen. And after attending several events, we finally muster the courage to do it and started to set aside cash bit by bit. 1st, just a dress-up thing at home. Until we finally cosplayed our first event.

GZTV: do you have any piece of advice to fellow cosplayers?

SARIELLE: Cosplay has become a great motivation for me. It gave me confidence and happiness too. Its a hobby that allows you to be the character you love and meet people with the same interest.

However, we should know that cosplay can be expensive too. We should be responsible enough with our finances. If we can't get a new one, lets just use what we have and save up for the other plans. Lets not jump into new cosplans without planning 1st or we'll go bankrupt. Remember, we all have lives outside this wonderful hobby. And hobbies are supposed to make us happy not stress us down. ❤️

BARBS: as ive said super new to it, 1st time ko lang tong photoshoot na to hahaha 😆

GZTV: okay, so as a new person in this hobby, what got you into trying it out?

BARBS: siguro I just found it interesting, a few of my friends cosplay, and i see it alot every now and then sa mga mall or events,
I just wanna try it out,
Bakit nila ginagawa ung cosplay, I wanna know for myself hahaha

GZTV: do you have any advice to fellow cosplayers?

BARBS: Goodluck to the journey you want, kase ang mahal pala hahaha, napapagalitan ako sa mama ko kasi pag nagdedeliver si Shopee or Lazada, now ko na realize from the costumes to the wig atsaka sa contact lens, simple pa nga ung cosplay ko, sa mga nakikita ko sa ibang cosplayers na ang gaganda nila, at elaborate ung costume, lalu lang akong na amaze, at humanga sa inyo, kaya ang advice ko turuan nyo ko hahahaha 🤣

GZTV: How many years of cosplay experience do you have under your belt?

LING: Duuudee Im a noob, Ive only been cosplaying for 5 months 😆

GZTV: What got you into cosplay?

LING: I guess 🤔 its the passion to wear a costume with the character I love, to be able to walk in their shoes, its like the biggest way of appreciating these icons, we so hold dear to us, its the ultimate embodiment of Fandom,

And also i was fascinated by the interactions with people with the same mindset and interests as me, makes me feel I am not alone.....

GZTV: do you have any advice to fellow cosplayers?

LING: If you have a passion and a dream not just in cosplay but life in general, you have to fight for it (If it isnt hurting anybody and your not stepping on anyone) and it makes you happy, fight for it!!! dont let anyone else tell you otherwise, Even at your lowest..... I know I just started cosplaying and might still be considered fairly new to it, I dont ever wanna give it up

KHATE: I've been cosplaying for more than 2 years now 💪 Mmm.. I still have a lot to learn. But I really don’t care about status/labels etc. when it comes to cosplaying, I just wanna have fun and show off my creativity 😉

GZTV: What got you into cosplay?

KHATE: I was in to modeling before, tapos I learned how to do my own make up which inspired me to try "cosplay make up" since I also was an anime lover as well,
My creative passion (in dressing up and doing make up) gave me the drive and motivation to still keep on cosplaying 😊

GZTV: do you have any piece of advice to fellow cosplayers?

KHATE: Never stop being creative and express yourself! You do, YOU!!!! 😎
It definitely boosts my confidence and stimulates my creativity. I feel great whenever I am dressing up as the characters that I like and also the extra fun it brings when others recognizes the character you portray and appreciates your work, But be wary of your life as well, and manage it to where cosplay wont affect your daily living negatively, because we have to admit anything in this world na sobra, is not good always, I think the only downside cosplay has ever given me is yung financial side nya 😂, my spendings went to the roof when I got in to cosplaying. 😅 but the satisfaction and happiness we get from it - priceless-
