Back in the studio!! A nice vacation is a must not only for mental health but a solid recharge. Spent a hot 10 days in Mexico with friends and my love . It was incredible and I’m excited to dive back into projects. September is starting to book up, but I still have a few slots open if you’re looking to start something. Happy end of summer!

We have a new 2 track tape machine in the house! We loved our Otari but this beautiful Scully 280b from the 70s came along and it has some serious mojo. It not only looks incredible but sounds even better. Fully calibrated and up to spec, this machine is ready for your project! What a week! So thankful to the best team a producer can ask for and for bringing in beautifully written songs. Real talk… we are suckers for a clean and organized studio space and have been on the lookout for an elegant mic stand storage solution for years. The great news is we finally found one and even better it’s a local Portland company started by Slater Swan of . The company is called and these boxes are not only well built but they save so much space. Imagine fitting 8 mic stands into the space of a single mic stand open. We couldn’t be happier and love having the extra space in the studio!

Happy release day to the incredible ! Their new LP, American Alchemy, was really a special record to work on. These two are so talented, and I have so much admiration for each of them. They are dedicated, hard working, and have shown so much resilience over the past year. I am grateful to be a part of their creative journey. Big thanks to the production team at the studio for helping make their big dreams a reality and for for knocking it out of the park on mastering. In making music, it is so much about the people. There have been so many wonderful folks involved in helping to craft this beautiful record for two amazing people! We can’t wait to see where it will lead you!

International Women’s Day gives us a moment to reflect. To think about the contributions of women great and small throughout the world in gratitude for what those accomplishments mean. The recording industry is a space where women are consistently underrepresented, and in partnership with amazing individuals like and we hope to be a small part of rewriting the industry’s story by empowering future women engineers and producers. After all, the best and most creative work is often accomplished as a tapestry of unique and diverse voices. We are grateful they choose to bring their talents to our space and clients, and thankful for all we get to create together.
