In 2017, Hamed Alsaba founded Kalam Nagareen - or “Carpenter's Talk” - to spread enthusiasm for modern carpentry. Initially a place to connect about all things related to craft, Kalam Nagareen has become a vibrant community of both novice and experienced carpenters, inviting them to connect professionally through workshops and innovations in the industry.

Since its inception, Kalam Nagareen has become one of the leading carpentry communities in Egypt and the Arabic world. As the community embarks on new endeavors, Kalam Nagareen will continue to champion the idea that carpentry is for everyone!

We recently had the opportunity to tell the story of Pianovision, which allows users to learn to play piano in Mixed Reality (MR).

Zac built PianoVision to make learning more accessible. “As someone with ADHD, learning to play music is challenging because traditional methods aren’t really built for people like us.”

As a team, we welcomed the opportunity to learn from and embrace MR as a tool for storytelling and aimed to highlight what it means to harness technology for good.

Last night our team took home two Emmy awards 🏆🏆 for two Superbowl LVIII projects with — Outstanding Camera work (Just Win Baby!) and Outstanding Opening Tease (My Way).

It’s challenging to encapsulate all the producing, long days (and nights!) on set, and years of relationship building that led to these wins in just a few short words. Filmmaking is the ultimate team sport and we are honored to accept these awards on behalf of the many talented collaborators who had a hand in making this a reality. Congrats to everyone on the team!

With just over 1,000 Mountain Gorillas left, we traveled to Rwanda to highlight the heroes that advocate for Mountain Gorilla conservation in the Virunga mountains.

We often cite how powerful stories are so we could not stay silent on the sidelines any longer. Only Today is minority-owned and is made up of a beautiful tapestry of voices & backgrounds.

This film project is our response to the anti-Asian violence felt around the world. It reimagines the iconic painting by Mark Grant through a more modern, diverse lens and that is reflected both in front of and behind the camera.

Asian American Gothic' is our response to ongoing anti-Asian violence. Inspired by the iconic painting 'American Gothic' that was painted nearly 100 years ago, this film reshapes the concept to reflect today's diverse fabric of communities that make up America.

This project came about as a reaction to the passing of 84 year old Vicha Ratanapakdee. Join us as we rewrite the narrative.

Our adventure in Cusco, Peru included acclimatizing for two days at 3,400m to a magical sunrise in Patabamba. We laughed through missed turns in the dark, shared meals surrounded by alpacas, and marveled at the art of weaving while chewing on leaves to stomach the altitude.

This marks another milestone in our journey across more than 40 countries, uncovering and crafting stories with locals. We thank our partners at Meta and our global network of collaborators for this memorable experience. Here's to weaving more unforgettable stories together.

We’ve produced content in over 40+ countries across 6 continents so we know a thing or two about filming abroad. If you’re planning a production overseas, here are our top five tips to consider when planning for international production. 1. Visas - Securing visas is a top priority in pre-production, as some countries may have lengthy processing times and may require special journalist or media visas for the team. Since we’re US-based, we check http://travel.state.gov/ and the country’s embassy website for requirements and timelines. If time is of the essence, expedited passport & visa services can be helpful in navigating the application maze. 2. Permits - Researching and securing filming and/or drone permits is likely necessary. These permits can take weeks to process, so it’s best to hustle early to ensure everything is squared away before travel. 3. Carnets - If you’re traveling with camera gear, don’t leave without a Carnet - an international customs & temporary export-import document. It’s a golden ticket for customs clearance, and essential for safely transporting all equipment across borders. Without it, you risk being fined costly duties & taxes or worse, having your gear detained and putting your production in jeopardy. 4. Local Fixer - Working with a local fixer or producer in each country is like having a backstage pass to a smooth production. They provide logistical support and help us ensure we take into account any local cultural norms and/or customs during the project. Our global network of trusted producers helps us wrangle even the most complicated challenges no matter where the story takes us. 5. Helpful Apps World Time Buddy - A lifesaver for wrangling multiple time zones when the team & talents are scattered across the globe. @Whatsapp - Our preferred tool for staying connected with our international crew and talents. It’s reliable, global, and perfect for quick messages and calls over Wi-Fi. Timeshifter - Our go-to

We've told hundreds of stories over the years and finally got around to crafting a piece that speaks to who we are as a collective - an anthem if you will that speaks to our ethos.
