IT’S SHOWTIME // Oregon Symphony launched their October performances this weekend with their Brahms 2: Moments in Light and Darkness program that dreams of bucolic landscapes where sunlit serenity and ominous storm clouds share the sky.

Later in the month, The Sound of Space— an out-of-this-world concert with a futuristic spin—brings together some of the best sci-fi music ever written for contemporary film.

Don't miss out on the chance to hear your favorite tracks from rapper Killer Mike in an epic one-night-only collaboration with Oregon Symphony.

Immerse yourself in the sensational multimedia concert experience FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH featuring beloved scores by Nobuo Uematsu and high-definition video scenes created exclusively for this production by SQUARE ENIX.

To close on a haunting note, Dvořák's New World Symphony will weave a vibrant tapestry of Black spirituals and Indigenous folk songs with tunes from his native Bohemia alongside Wagner's ghostly overture to The Flying Dutchman and Liszt's Totentanz.

In the same program, enjoy as pianist Garrick Ohlsson plays Chopin’s moving Piano Concerto No. 1. Then, their highly-anticipated Popcorn series begins with John Williams’ iconic Close Encounters of the Third Kind score performed by the Oregon Symphony orchestra as the film plays on the big screen.
