The president of the afghan community for the state of Maine, Shamayel Kargar is a brilliant business woman who has built a real estate empire with her husband shortly after coming to this country from Afghanistan. They are American dreamers at their core and they succeeded. Shamayel will share with you her successful formula to succeeding in real estate with a Q&A at the end.

The brokerage agency and its designated broker, Michael Jacobson will also share with you the possibilities in this market and how he can help you in your real estate endeavors and transactions.

These two women are true inspiration, in our state and community. Leading a generation of eager and hard-working young afghans to have a place at the table that addresses their needs and concerns and wants. Imagine, two women leading the 700 plus afghans in the state of Maine. It’s a beautiful thing and this interview was great to watch.

100 turkeys we’re donated today to 100 Afghan families in the Portland and Lewiston area. The Afghan volunteers made this holiday season extra special and extra thankful.

It started with pilgrims…. And here you have Afghans keeping the holiday tradition alive as ever!

Maine’s newly elected President of the Afghan community!!

Afghanistan has a reputation, and that is: women obeying men and following in their shadows. Tonight, in Portland, Maine she was elected by the hands of both men and women to lead their community so that all Afghans have a chance at a great life here.

This is wonderful news for all Afghans in Portland tonight. As there is no bigger or greater advocate then her to lead this community to prosper.
